It's been almost a year since an investigation was launched into the swastikas that were popping up on the sides of buildings in West Fitchburg and the city has yet to see another rash of anti-Semitic vandalism at the same level.
Other parts of the region haven't been so lucky.
A recent study conducted by the Anti-Defamation League shows that anti-Semtic incidents in New England increased by 32 percent from 2016 and 2017 with Massachusetts incidents increasing by 44 percent. It's because of this spike in hateful behavior that Gov. Charlie Baker re-established a state hate crime task force earlier this week.
