Name: Antasha Nan
Age: 17
Race: Human/Sage
Height: 5ft 1"
Appearance: Brown untidy hair, Amber eyes, long eyelashes, and full lips. Well, a full lower lip which she hates, because she believes it makes her look out of balance. pale complexion. Skinny but not unhealthily so. Is introduced to the story dressed in a simple green cotton dress, with a brown overcoat (sleeveless). Good sturdy cowhide boots.

Antasha's talent is drawing power from the sun to, in essence, to grow plants. Sounds simple, right? Nice little harmless thing? Well, growing plants can also mean destroying plants, growing vines and trees quickly, thorn bushes, etc.

It would be a handy weapon if Orion knew she existed.

(Short description of the background for those who dont want to read below. Common girl found her parents had a plot to send her to the king to gain Orions favour and she ran away. She's now in the city in an alley with no food or money or shelter.)

Bio: Background

Antasha was born common. She feels common. She acts common. And for all intents and purposes, she IS common. So when her parents decided to move very close to the Imperial City (am I right here??), Antasha had some doubts. It became very worrying, for instance, when her father started praising Orion excessivly round the dinner table. Perhaps he had aspirations of moving higher in society? No. She found out later that Orion had a very big supporter in her mother and father. And if Orion knew about it, I'm sure he'd be flattered.

By now, Antasha had discovered that Sunlight felt GOOD when she was outdoors. So good, in fact, Sunbasking became a regular habit. She'd heard about what happened to people caught sunbasking - presumably, the Govern would see them as Sages and snatch them off the ground before they'd opened their eyes. (Is it ok if I add that little twist??). Antasha hadn't noticed her affinity with plants yet.
Her parents certainly had.
And it formed in their minds to get noticed with Orion. Ambition and sacrifice are two noble things, they agreed. Well, their ambition to become close to their Ruler gave them the idea to sacrifice their daughter to the Sages service. How proud, they would be, to have a daughter in the Sages service.... So they hatched a plan. A month from the day of discovery, they would drug their daughter and take her to the castle. They'll get praise from the Govern, word will travel to His Most High, and they'll be set for life.

Antasha was not an Orion supporter. The last king was just fine, thankyou very much. and Orion had left some relatives very heartbroken when he murdered King Henry. A son, she though? was she right? Well, if she was, he's sure to be heartbroken. And he obviously didn't have a Sage bone in his body, or he'd be enlisted before he knew what was happening. However, Antasha did. All that sunbasking had cleared her head long enough to try her hand at growing a vegetable patch - and man, she found out, could she EVER grow vegetables! She tried her hand at other horticulture, and yes, it turned out she had a knack. Well, she knew it was more than a knack, but to admit it, even to herself.. well... she might as well announce herself at the Palace gates then and there. And there was NO way she would be doing that.

And that night, she overheard her parents talking about their plan for her, which was to be acted out.... Tonight. Oh crud. The moment she heard the sinister words from her parents, she raced upstairs, packed hastily, and ran to the door. Her father had guessed at her ploy and tried to stop her, but by then she was out and running for her life. She ran. and ran. And ran, until she hit the Imperial City. Her parents would never look for her there! But Antasha hadn't thought of bringing any money.. and she was cold, tired, hungry and miserable. Settling down in the nearest alley looked good.....

And so thats where she's introduced to the story.

If the description is too long and windy, please let me know. I'll cut it down.
