  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We just received word this morning that Pastor is doing well, is sitting up and is eating pudding!!! The Crockett family certainly appreciates your love and prayers at this time. Praise the Lord!
In Christ,

We received word this morning that Pastor Crockett is recovering in a regular room at Methodist. He is in a lot of pain and has limited mobility. We do not have the results of the biopsy yet, but will certainly pass it along as soon as it is available. Pastor is eating solid foods (ex. cheesecakeJ). It’s nice to see that his love for cheesecake hasn’t been altered by these surgeries!!
Please continue to pray regarding the lymph node biopsies and the healing process.

Thank you so much.

In Christ,

PRAISE the LORD !!!
8/31/06
Praise the Lord! Pastor’s pathology report just came back clear of cancer! What an awesome God we serve. He has brought Pastor so far in such a short time! The Lord certainly has much more work for Pastor to do! Pastor continues to be in a great deal of pain and is not able to have visitors at this time. As we pray for Pastor’s continued healing, let us continue to praise the Lord for He is worthy!

In Christ,

Psa 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

The following was posted today on GBC’s (Grace Baptist Church)website. Please pass this along to others and continue rejoicing in the Almighty God of Miracles!

Better News

On August 9th, lung doctors informed us that Pastor Crockett had Stage 4 lung cancer that had apparently metastasized (traveled) to his brain. They now tell us they would have given him 10 months to live.

But God had other plans. Yesterday the pathology report came back with the good news that there was no cancer in his lymph nodes.

But the lung surgeon said there might be even better news from the pathology report of the golf-ball size “cancer” on Pastor Crockett’s lung. He said that the report had amazed the doctors, and he could not confirm anything until he met with the brain surgeon this morning.

Yesterday’s good news got even better. Today the doctors confirmed that the nodule on the lung is a benign meningioma (tumor)! Instead of the lung cancer traveling to the brain, the benign meningioma of the brain had traveled to the lung.

The lung surgeon and cancer surgeon put the two tumors side by side, and they are the same—contrary to the original “malignant” biopsy of the lung last month.
Dr. Nahm, the lung doctor, said he’s never seen anything like this, adding “and I have gray hair.” It is extremely rare. Apparently there are only three documented medical cases of this happening.

At this point they tell us that my dad never had lung cancer—just the benign tumors, that the chance of recurrence is very slight and that even if it shows up again, it’s benign.

The brain surgeon told us he intends to bring this amazing news to a conference with other neurosurgeons that he’s attending in October.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. God has shown Himself strong.
He’s shown my dad what He showed Paul in Philippians 1, that “to abide in the flesh is more needful for you (the Philippian believers). And having this confidence, I (Paul) know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.”

God apparently recognized that we still need Pastor Crockett with us for our progress and joy in the faith. So that we might have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus because of his coming to us again. So let’s rejoice and glory in our great Redeemer whose grace is sufficient and whose resurrection power is made perfect in our weakness.

Pastor Josh (Pastor Crockettt’s son)

P.S.: My dad is still dealing with a good deal of pain and discomfort, but he had a very good night's sleep last night. I appreciate your continued prayers for his swift and full recovery.

-God has released the month's of guilt I carried in my heart on something.

-He answered my prayers on my friend becoming saved, and molding me into the person He wants me to be.

Thank you Jesus!

I'm taking "Intro to Sociology" and "Intro to Psychology" online from the local community college while I work full-time.

They can be used for Human Services or Early Childhood Studies programs, I'm interested in both of those.

Now I'm just trying to get the money.

i was debating whether or not to add another class to what I am already studying this semester. I had a choice between psycology, pharmacology, or my most scariest subject, english. By God's grace he found me a good teacher who makes english interesting. Thank you Lord! Hallelujah!

^ That's great!!!!! Teachers make a huge difference. I am not a strong science person and I did REALLY well in Biology in grade 11 because of the teacher.

Here's another one from me: Paul attended church with me today for the second time. He wanted to go last week but it was my turn doing the computer (powerpoint).
