I ignore them if possible. I never get mean back. Sometimes I pretend not to understand why they are being mean and I am very sweet back to them.

Do you sometimes find yourself trying to cheer people up...a checker at the supermarket, a clerk at WalMarts, etc.?

Working at the hospital it is second nature to diffuse and redirect people, especially the meanies.

We swim in the river just down the hill from our house.

Um, probably about 25 years ago or so? But, my son J. went to youth camp about an hour ago. The new youth pastor paid his way. (T.G.) He wouldn't have been able to go this year otherwise.

Me personally, no. But my parents have.
