  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Of all time? grrr...my tastes change with the wind. At the moment, I like Alanis Morisette. But, not so much for the quality of her voice, which in My opinion is actually very good. But for the phylosophical insight about life which I so closely identify, in her lyrics.

Have you played the "Did you know?" game yet?

I go from green to blue all the time..I love both colors! I think it's because they represent life to me...the blue is water without which we would all die, and the green is from the trees and plants which shows life. Plus, I have blue eyes...:D

Whats your favorite tree and why?

Birch. Because it blooms early, and the leaves fall off late. It's a pretty color when the leaves turn. I love the white bark too...different than most other trees. And, Because it's graceful and the sound the wind makes when rustling through it's braches and leaves is sweet sounding to my soul.

What are you not good at?

My most noticeable fear is spiders. I have NO idea why I am scared of them but it is an extreme phobia. I am getting a bit better now, but I still have a LONG way to go. My BIGGEST fear, even more than that, which I don't share very often is death. I am not just referring to my own either, but the death of loved ones as well.

What is your biggest accomplishment?

I would remove being shy (fearful regarding people) from my personality.

Does it bug you that some people get preferencial treatment and some do not? (I'm usually in the "do not" catagory...just a regular Jane. But have been in the "do" catagory a little bit lately. And there is definately a double standard in how people treat you. I would doubt there was one, if I hadn't seen it from both perspectives myself.)

I don't like describing myself, I like to be self-explanatory - my actions describe me.

But *sigh* I guess I would say I am quite proficient at being empathetic, so I am able to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and understand the underlying reasons for their behaviour (a skill necessary when working with children).

Regarding the parable of the Prodigal Son, would you liken yourself more to the whimsical son who comes crawling back to the forgiving Father or to his resentful brother?
