  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No the actual Darwin's one but similar articles on it. I would not take the time to read it because it is only a theory and I am not interested in it. I do not like science as it is and furthermore it goes together with the Big Bang theory....

Do you like to read theology books and why?

I have. I read it because I always read what large groups of people have a bad opinion of, to see for myself, if their opinion has any merit.

I found that it didn't...

I'm not into science either, other than as a person who finds it interesting. And the opinion I have on the book is, that Darwin was a lovely man, very meek, mild mannered, and humble,...just the sort of gentelman I wouldn't have minded knowing personally. Who wrote like scientists write, very detailed findings about his personal study of animals, insects and plant life. It was a little dull and long winded for my taste. (that's what I meant by I'm not into science either) It's more like a written, less visually captivating, version of the discovery chanel. I seriously, don't see why people have objected to it so strongly. It seems about as harmful as reading the dictionary imo. But, by reading it, it confirmed what I already suspected... that people who get overly emotional, objecting to what they think this book is about, don't actually know what the heck their talking about. They're just repeating a group opinion that they assume is accurate, because it is popular. (Something that I wouldn't do if somebody paid me.)

Oh and Philothei, you know me. I'm not talking about you here. I respect that you haven't read it because you don't want to. And that's as good a reason as any, not to read something imo. My opinion was offered, simply because I happen to have one. That's all. :)

Women would rule the world... Duh.

Women already rule the world lol!
Yeah, right. :D :tutu:

would you like some cheese with your wine?
Yes, to the cheese. But, I'll pass on the whine...um, I mean wine. :D ;)

Did you grow up in a "nuclear family" (Mom, Dad, kids under one roof)?

Hi Xipilgrim  Thanks. :amen:

Do you like pets, if so what is your favourite type?
Hmmm, do I like pets? I tend to base my likes and dislikes on the individual, rather than the group. So, I can't rightly answer that question.

My favorite type of pet would be a cat.

Do you prefer people who agree with you, or people who can think for themselves?
