  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I like the books I read to be clean and well taken care of. And I don't know many people who think that's important. So, I prefer to buy them. ...Have you ever heard the saying "Never loan books or money"? I think it's because people tend not to return either. (and if they do, they're in pretty bad shape.)

When was the last time you bought yourself a new pair of shoes? Please describe them to us. ;)

Not me. It's just my mother unit and I :)

What were you like when you were in grade school? (Personally, even when I was 6 and 7 y/o, I had a small group of friends, 1-3 people, and everyone else was just....everyone else, like now. ^_^)

Not really, no. My school was like a prison, they had guards with guns and tall fences with barbed wire at the top. The teachers were mean, and they treated me like they assumed I was a bad kid, without bothering to get to know me first. I didn't much like that, having been an A student at the school I went to before I had to move there. (divorce custody) But, Paula Abdul was in my graduating class. So, it's got it's name-drop-isity factor, and that's something, I guess.

*edit: :sorry: I didn't see your question before I posted. ... I don't like to wear heals. And at my age, and situation, I don't feel I have to if I don't want to. It's nice. ... I used to wear them all the time. I liked them then. But, I don't anymore. For one thing, they're not as pretty as they used to be imo. And I'm not going to wear shoes that look like I'm trying to hold onto my departing youth with both hands out of desperatation. It would be humiliating. :D

Did/do you really enjoy going to your high school?

The high school that I'm in now, I could really care less about. If it weren't for less-than-a-handful of friends, I wouldn't care at all. The high school I was in before this one, I'd love to rejoin them for a class reunion.

What about you?

I'm not really doing the high school thing.
I've been homeschooled all the way through, I'm taking courses at the community college now to beef up my transcripts for college/scholarships and I like that. I often think I'm better off not having to deal with the high school drama so I'm happy. But every now and then I feel kind of sad about not having that common experience....

Do you have any family (or close friends) born in May? And how will you celebrate their birthdays?
