CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Slept all night but woke up for an hour to watch the show Men in Trees.
If Christians allow themselves to become unhealthy and maybe develop serious health issues because of bad lifestyle habits (unhealthy eating, no exercise,) can they be as productive for God as they could be if always healthy?

a Land Rover Defender 90 but I'm not sure spending $50,000 is a good use of God's money when so many suffer and when I could get by with a much less expensive vehicle.

Yes, But, I don't know what you mean exactly by serve them. Do you mean like a social worker or a soup kitchen volunteer? No, I've not done that. My Mom and sister and neice were homeless for awhile...they slept in their car and in shelters when they could get in. They wouldn't stay with me. I think it was because they knew we didn't have much room, and didn't want to impose. Broke my heart. I asked my grandmother if she would put them up, her eldest daughter-my mother, and my sister and her newborn baby...she was living in a 4 bedroom house with one boarder, but she said no. And I didn't speak to her until about a year ago over it. Indefensible unchristian act imo. I couldn't even speak to her. And she and I were really close.
