Another thing I don't understand about the creationist position...

There are ~4000 Christian denominations many of which disagree with a literal 6day creation. I don't disrespect your belief, I am merely pointing out that there are many Christian interpretations of the bible.
And it’s sad that they do.

And it’s sad that they do.
I am sure you would think that.

I just read an article about the king of anti-woke Gov DeSantis who intends to eliminate Advanced Placement classes. It appears that he no longer believes what he said in 2020

I just read an article about the king of anti-woke (Gov DeSantis) who intends to eliminate Advanced Placement classes in FL. He contradicts himself from what he said about AP in 2020.
“Once more, Florida’s students have demonstrated their serious commitment to education as they continue to place third in the nation in Advance Placement (AP) test results,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “High school graduates who succeed in these AP courses are on the path to personal, academic and professional success and should be congratulated.”
Amazing what the cultural wars do to people.

Are similes and metaphors lies?
Of course not.

Nor are parables and just- so stories.
Aesops fables are not lies.
They are stories that contain truths.

And so we return to infallibiliy.

Do you believe your opinions about
what is simile or metaphor, or a
parable / instructive myth is infallibly
the correct one?

You do give that impression.

Example- the yec Dr. K. Wise, PhD paleonyology:

"...even if all the evidence in the universe turns against yec, I will still be yec,mas that is what
the Bible seems to say"

The only fact there is how he chooses to thunk things seem.

Welcome to the world of faith, the evidence of things not seen.

I'm sure you can talk all day and night about things you do see.

In your microscopes, in your telescopes, and in your oscilloscopes.

But it's what you can't see in your equipment that's gonna get you.

What's YOUR reason for disagreeing with a literal six-day creation?

Aesops fables are not lies.
They are stories that contain truths.
Then it’s odd that you said this.
" Context" makes a lie the truth.
Anyway…
And so we return to infallibiliy.

Do you believe your opinions about
what is simile or metaphor, or a

the correct one?
No. But I think anyone reading the similes and metaphors you brought up can reasonably conclude that they are indeed similes and metaphors.
You do give that impression.
Okay.

It's actually more like 40,000.

It could be a hundred thousand.

But however many there are, we all agree on this:

IN THE BEGINNING, GOD.

So what's YOUR excuse for not believing?

If you want to use our differences against us, we'll use our similarities against you.

Fair enough?

That’s exactly what’s been done here. It’s clear in scripture that there’s a literal 6 day creation. So-called scientists are saying that’s not true.
It's the Earth itself that's showing the 6 day creation story as not being true.

Just think of the earth as artificial intelligence, and you'll understand.

Okay.
Not at all odd. Just mirroring your
literal - or- lie approach to reading.
Checking how far you take it, where
you choose to make exceptions.

" Anyone reading can REASONABLY
conclude.." . Yes! Agreement!

Lets take a look at " reasonable"

As in, a person of sound judgement:
fair and sensible.

You have the " reasonable person"
standard in American law.

In Kings there is a passage that clearly
shows that the value of Pi is 3.

How would the reasonable person decide
if the Bible account true?

What general rule would you apply
to determining that a passage is
True, approximate, metaphorical etc?

I have no objections to what people believe. I am unelaborately pointing out that it is a minority view within the ~40,000 Christian denominations.

Why do I disagree? Evidence!
