Mike the Headless Chicken was a headless chicken. His owners tried to cut off his head, and they did, but somehow Mike still lived. He was a Colorado chicken and the town of Fruita now has a Mike the Headless Chicken Festival. He died, though, by choking on a seed.

LOL!!! Fairplay is wierd. It also has two memorials devoted to a couple of burros. It's a long story.

Yep! Those people over in Fruita and Fairplay are so bored they made a parade and a memorial. There are countless memorials to poor headless Mike. Same with burros. There are SO MANY burro monuments it's almost sad.
