The sad thing is that something DID change her mind - Charles Duke's Christian testimony of how he walked on the moon and then met Jesus.
Such an amazing testimony even caused her to publicly declare that Flat Earth is a load of rubbish.

Now, she's behaving as though Charles is a liar and she never said those words.

I believe that man has never walked on the moon or ever will - For the reasons Bill Kaysing gives plus God would never allow it just like the tower of Babel.

NASA lacked the technical expertise to put a man on the Moon.
the absence of stars in lunar surface photographs was indicative of a hoax.
there were unexplained optical anomalies in the photographs taken on the Moon.
there was an absence of blast craters beneath the Lunar Modules, and that the rocket engines of the Lunar Modules should have generated an enormous dust cloud near their landing sites during the final seconds of descent.

God would never allow man on the moon just like the tower of Babel, he thwarted the tower just like he did with the moon missions.

Nonsense.
a) walking on the moon is not even a sin and God has "allowed" far more serious things like war, murder, rape and so on.
b) God knows that men have not only walked on the moon they have read Genesis 1 on the moon and taken communion on the moon.
c) God met with Charles Duke after he walked on the moon. Did he destroy him? No, he converted him and gave him an amazing Christian testimony.
d) Bill Kaysing was not a scientist, far less an astronaut. He was a writer - though he once was a technical writer for one of the rockets used by NASA.

They've put 12 of them on there.
12 eye witnesses who walked on the moon's surface, took photographs and spent months away from their families.
They even risked their lives, since some men died trying to get to the moon.

i) He didn't thwart any moon missions.
ii) So you ARE saying that Charles Duke is a liar. How come he gives talks about walking on the moon and meeting Jesus; talks which change people's lives? You should know; it changed yours.

Your "stupidity" caused you to write a prayer saying sorry to God for doubting and asking him to bless the astronauts.
Your "stupidity" caused to to say that Charles' testimony gave you goosebumps and that you honestly believed every word.
Your "stupidity" caused you to ask God for help in sticking to your new belief in a globe earth.
Your "stupidity" cause you to renounce a lifelong belief in flat earth and to declare that it was a load of nonsense.

None of that was stupid; it was the bravest and most sensible thing you have done since you've been on here.
You seem to be saying that you shouldn't have said 'sorry' to God or asked for his help and strength. But it's stupid not to ask for God's help, not to ask for it.

You have now reverted to making illogical and contradictory statements, believe that a Christian with an amazing testimony is a liar and, even worse, are claiming that God has told you the truth.

God said we shouldn’t slander others, and that we should accept the testimony of fellow Christans. You’re basically calling Charles Duke and other Christians who flew to the moon, and others who worked on the program, liars, because of conspiracy theory videos on YouTube. You’re letting content creators manipulate you into slandering Christians while systematically ignoring any attempt to disprove your ideas on the basis of extremely weak scriptural ideas.

There are other flat Earthers on CF.com who are set in their ways, who do engage in such activities, but your case makes me very sad because you have had the awareness that there is something wrong with your worldview, but you keep lapsing, and this suggests a need for sincere pastoral care in the love of the Christian church to help you with whatever is causing you to fall back into this pattern of accusation.

The worst part of all of this is that, as I explained to you before, there are variants of your belief that would not require accusing anyone of lying, including one cosmological model for a two dimensional universe with what is something like a virtual third dimension which has some mainstream scientific backing, even. The real problem is the accusations.

Sending astronauts to the moon was an incredibly expensive venture, not to mention extremely dangerous, and once the USA had achieved that aim, there was really no compelling reason to continue sending missions. There are no valuable minerals on the moon and even if there were, there is no economically viable way of mining them and returning them to earth, so the USA stopped sending manned missions to the moon. This meant that missions no longer needed all the complex heavy equipment to comfortably transport live humans with everything necessary to keep them alive for weeks, so they no longer needed to build the massive, multi stage rockets needed for all that extra weight. As engineers moved on to other areas or simply retired, the knowledge base necessary for that technology was slowly lost. It's one thing to have the blueprints for building a Saturn-V rocket, but it's another thing entirely to have the people with the knowledge and experience to be able to understand those blueprints and make it work.

It’s 2025, our government just spent 21 trillion on deep underground bases. I think they could afford to do what they did in the 60’s. They never went.

Yes, you are.
You don't get it, do you? It was only a few months ago that you said "sorry" to God for doubting the moon landings. And you didn't do it silently, in your heart, only known to you and God. You did it on these forums; you publicly wrote a prayer. You asked for God's help in sticking to your new belief in a globe earth - and even said, "I know it will be hard, but with God's help I will get there."

But you didn't.
You saw a clip on YouTube which talked about a flat earth and instead of asking for God's help to resist the temptation to go back to your old beliefs, you said that it was God who had put that clip there and rejoiced that you were "back on track."

It's ok to change your mind about something.
It's not ok to say, "I found this Christian testimony to be so moving it gave me goosebumps and I honestly believed every word." To apologise to God for getting it wrong and to ask for his help in rejecting a false belief (i.e Flat Earth, which you were then saying was a load of nonsense) - and then, a couple of weeks later treat your confession as nothing, fail to ask for God's help in this matter and publicly reject the Christian who spoke so movingly and sincerely.

If you said "sorry" to God for being wrong about the moon landings, and you are now saying "no, I made a mistake and shouldn't have said that", you are saying sorry to God for saying that you were sorry.
If you publicly said that you would ask for God's help to resist believing in a flat earth, then a short time later go back to believing in a flat earth, that means that you either failed to ask for his help or, worse still, weren't interested in having it.

Like I said, I don't care what shape you believe the earth to be and if you want to deny the moon landings, that's up to you.
But don't claim that God showed you that something was true and then a couple of weeks later showed you again that it was false. Don't claim that you will ask for god's help and then do nothing of the kind.

It's your accusations of others which are wrong.
I, apparently, don't know the truth. Charles, who walked on the moon, didn't - even though he now tells people about that and about Jesus.
NASA are lairs, others are "deluded Freemasons" - even though you have previously praised Freemasons who believe in a flat earth. Scientists, astronauts and astronomers are wrong, lying or part of some great conspiracy.

Some of these people are your fellow Christians.

This is the real issue, the real offensive aspect, that being the accusations. You are accusing people of engaging in dishonesty, and the role of the Christian is not to accuse but to love. There is nothing you are doing in accusing these people of lying that is in accordance with the moral principles of the Christian religion. If you had incontrovertible proof that they had all lied - they had all told you personally, and you had verified their claim scientifically, for instance, it would still be a dubious area, since as Christians we should be focused on our own sins and not on those of others.

How can you repent of whatever sins you engage in when you remain fixated on what you believe to be the sinful behavior of others? Accusation is not compatible with repentence.
