  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Matthew 24: 23-27
Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or 'There He is,' do not believe him. "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. "Behold, I have told you in advance. "So if they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the wilderness,' do not go out, or, 'Behold, He is in the inner rooms,' do not believe them. For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Anyone hear about this guy Sergei Torop, also known as Vissarion? I guess he's been around for awhile. He has 4,000 followers (maybe even more) and claims to be Jesus Christ, he claims he's returned just like the Bible said he would in order to save the world. I think It's a shame that so many people would believe him.

I would consider this just another sign of the times, and also confirmation that what the bible says is true. Remember Christ is to come on the clouds, Every eye will see him. He's not going to be born in some country, or be reincarnated.

That guy's been around for ages. I think he started his cult more than 10 years ago.
Russia seemed to be the hot spot for cults in the 90s-everything from the Moonies to the Jehovah's Witnesses to the Aum grew phenomenally there.

There always were and there will be some people who call themselves Jesus but, as we all know, they are liars and their job is it to take away people from the real Christ. I believe that when Jesus will come back everybody on earth will know from his heart that it is the real Christ and there will be no doubt about it. I hope Jesus does not wait too long for his return.

Be blessed!

Look at who his followers are: beaucrats, politicians, former communists and other people who are now disenfranchised in Russia. They are searching for something, and this guy happen along at the right time with the right words.

One article about him says that the Old Believers (Bible-believing Christians) are repulsed by him and contantly speak out against him andhis teachings, making plain the differences between Torop and the real Jesus. If this guy were anything legitimate, born-again Christians would certainly not be responding this way.

If you want to see another disturbing Jesus-imposter, go to jesus.com. It's unbelievable. I could hardly stand to look, but at the same time, I couldn't not look. The website is sick yet captivating.

Torop could be a good candidate for Antichrist, if he gains enough power and followers.

I've been to Jesus.com before, and it never fails to make me want to run all the way to school from our house (a 20-minute drive) and going through yesturday's events again before I read through it again.

It's sickening, and pitiful, what they have done with the image of our Savior.

They're tons of those "I am Jesus" type of people around the world. It's sad i must say. Another guy i know is moon. Claims that Jesus' work was not enough and that "he" is the way. It's all said and done. Jesus is the only way. No other way and thankfully He has warned us about this already.
