I was outside with a group of people. Friends, from the feeling that I recall. It was nighttime, and dark. We were enjoying each other's company.
I noticed the sky beginning to have traces of light through the clouds, and I realized that we'd been hanging out together all night, and dawn was coming. I was surprised at how the time had gone by, and wondered how I'd get through the coming day without having slept.
Suddenly, all the light in the sky went out. All at once, like a light switch turned off. Everything was dark again. There was an overwhelming, abrupt feeling of dread. Of impending doom. We were all looking around, wondering what was happening. Frightened and confused.
Then, there was a burst of what I can only describe as a pillar of fire, but it flowed like liquid, like lava, from the earth and up to the sky. It was on the horizon, but so huge and bright that we all saw it, and it made some kind of sound. Another one followed, in another place on the horizon. Then another, and another, all flowing up into the sky.
Everyone began to panic, and to run. I thought to myself, "This is it. This must be the Rapture. But it's so terrifying! Why? The world is going to be destroyed, we're all going to die!" I started to run as well, but I knew it was pointless. The fire was coming closer and closer, the earth was all dark, there was nowhere to run.
