  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Another conspiracy theory

its filled with disinformation. I am not sure what we are supposed to take from this...

I have been sharing my faith on an email list and someone posted this up. It's a theory that Jesus fathered a line of princes in Europe but this has been systematically suppressed for generations.

Whenever I share my faith, I am flabberghasted by the ignorant ideas people have about Christianity.

The biggest dumb idea out there is that basically, all religions are the same. They are so obviously not ...

What I don't get about these strange theories is that even secular historians don't put any stock in them. Some people like to believe that Christianity is all a big lie, but by and large the *historical* facts about Christianity (minus the "supernatural" stuff) is confirmed not only by religious people but also secular or mostly-secular people who study religion and history.

(I remember my father showing me an article in a (secular) historical journal which put forth the idea that Jesus' resurrection was confirmed in every historical way necessary to make it a historical fact -- it's only the "fact" that people cannot come back to life that prevents it from being a universally accepted fact. I don't remember the details of this article but I wish I still had it.)
