Also, I don't mean to twist your words around but regarding your comment that "Nobody would set himself as a martyr because of a lie." My response: 911.

This is a poor analogy on more than one front. Most obvious is the idea that the 9/11 terrorists were martyrs of the same quality as the disciples and early Christians. The terrorists were suicidal and not sacrificial; the terrorists killed themselves in order to kill others; the Christian’s martyrdom was spent on saving lives for eternal life.

Rpeg I've read a several of your posts in 3 different threads. All of which were started by you. This thread, Critical Thinking, and your thread about the missionary losing faith.

My question is this. What point are you trying to make? In other words suppose you could make one last post to make your point, to say what is really on your mind; what exactly would you tell us?

To say what's really on my mind is not inherently related to any "point" I'm trying to make. I am trying to share my perspective and also learn about those on here. There is no grand point. I am an atheist and I feel others should arrive to that conclusion -- about many definitions of a "god" -- however that's still not a point of mine. Regarding what is really on my mind, it's not flattering so I won't say. I can express it on simple terms: it seems many theists are less familiar with reality than I am.

There are many Atheists who end up Christian as well. Including me. Looks like we share the same opinion in that I would be overjoyed should others should arrive at my conclusion as well!

Of course atheists become Christians. You're born not believing in any gods, and then your parents mold your mind into believing their particular dogma.

I think just about everyone here is. I don't think I've ever gotten a straight answer out of someone here.

By the way, I noticed you love posting in threads where clearly Christians are discussing things and post your atheist opinions, dripping with sarcasm and superiority.

Regardless of your beliefs, which should be respected, you sure do come off as rude and immature.

Of course, many Christians fall into that trap as well.
