  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ministering out of anointing, WITHOUT INTIMACY, is dangerous. There is the ecstatic "high" of flowing in God's power in a public setting.
And there is the gratification of hearing people's grateful comments.
When it "works" well, it is wonderful . . . but oh so deceptive .

When we come down from the intensity and do not land in the place of
intimacy, we are subject to all kinds of overwhelming temptations.
The truth of the matter is that public ministry, as wonderful and
thrilling as it is, will not sustain the anointed minister. In fact,
we can step out of the pulpit more destitute than when we went in.
We can "down" from the ministry time high with a feeling of great afterwards emptiness, an emptiness that cries out to be filled.

How much better to have our soul satisfied with His Presence before the ministry anointing comes, than need it and not have it to return to afterward.

Christian
yes, thankyou for that word.
this has been burning in me for so long now...

i beleive the heart of god is calling to us, to come away.
many people teach to get it while the gettins good.
max out every oppurtunity, let your momentum carry you, use everybit of starlight you get... the law of the BIG MO.

but jesus constantly pulled away from the crowds at the heights of his ministry to be alone....
and so many preachers have fallen, in the very climax of their ministry.
becuase its so easy to let the noise and commotion distract you and something hit off guard. you have to make sure you never forget to have times when its just you and God. so many people let the work of god distract them from god.
solitude and silence are so important.
if you do not have a ground in private life where you are alone with god...your public ministry is pointless and often a lie.

men do not come up with sermons, men go to the thrown room of god and bring them back.
there is nothing more important than your intimacy with god....oh lord. experience with god is the only way anything ever happens for us ultamitely.

the church has so many appliances, but they have forgotten about the spirit. the real preaching and ministry that changes lives only comes from experience and intercourse (not sexual mind you) with god.
and this simply never takes place in the crowds.
it only happens in the secret place.

that was not to you altya, i know you know this... this is just a heavy burden on my heart.
