  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello there!
I have a little question. I don't know if this is the correct place to ask, but it feels like it can be.

My question is: If you get anointed, is that same thing as filled with Holy Spirit?

Thanks for clarifying this!

I like it a little better this way... The anointing is the (result) of being spirit filled which starts at the new birth. If you are born-again... You were already anointed with "Christ in you"...
Col 1:27
to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is "Christ in you," the hope of glory.

1 Jo 2:27
But the anointing which you have received of him "abides in you."
In your spirit, you received the same measure of faith, the same power, the same wisdom, the same anointing as the Lord Jesus Christ in every way. Your spirit isn’t in the process of growing and maturing because it’s already complete. You’ve already got everything! Renew your mind through His Word and release the anointing ALREADY in you... to minister to others.

Harry...

I tend to explain it in this way....thers is only one who is annointed who is Jesus our Lord...he by his grace makes himself one with us so we carry his annointing in us but it only functions.when it is him through us...If we lean to our own understanding or streangth we do not function in his annointing though it may be in us
To the op of you mean physically with oil then no the gift of the Holy Spirit in us comes by faith in his grace purchased for us at his cross

I think were on the same page...
2 Corinthians 1:21
Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

All Christians are the anointed of God. We need to not only live it, but show it, and manifest it... to the world through His sacrifice of LOVE.

The anointing of the Lord is simply the presence and power of the Holy Spirit manifested in us. All believers have received this anointing. We need to believe and release it in our daily life so others can see that we... (His Body) is being overtaken by THE BLESSING.

Walk in THE BLESSING

Cool that the anointing never leaves. So you doesn't have to "refill." :)

That wich people say is a refilling is truly them coming back to trust of Him through them. HE didnt move they did. But if one were to say to me I need a refilling I would never beat them up over their language but encourage them that he.never leaves or forsakes them. We are all susceptible to leaning on self but he ia faithfull

So if someone is giving you an intercession and asking if you want something special. If you are asking for a "refill" of the Holy Spirit, then he/she thinks you are "lost" and want to come back?

No did not say lost...the Adamic nature in a believer is crucified in Jesus so it is dead but not removed. The free gift of God purchased at calvery is God abiding in us making us one with him. As we trust in that gift he moves through us to will to.do his work and also to do the work through us.
But sometimes we get distracted or tired or we dont understand sometimes he gives us the.will to do right but we lean to our own thoughts and actions...think Abraham and Sara with Ishmael and Haggar...when we do this we lean to the old man and God does not act...he stays but will not encourage the.old man...think a parent standing by as a child learns to walk he is always there but he will let us learn how to have a walk which oncludes some false starts... or a two year old so determined he can tie his own shoe that he will not let you help. at times he wait until we are completely frustrated so that we will learn to learn from him.
Further if the one ministering to you doesnt know that is the condition of us All then they are still being taught to stand
