Annunciation/Palm Sunday

I was talking to my husband about this the other day, and wondering how this will affect your services next Sunday, if at all? Does Palm Sunday "trump" Annunciation, or will you observe both?

Just curious. We're a week later than the west this year, so it's not happening for us.

According to the church calendar (Ordo Kalendar), it is Palm Sunday, period. I checked a few different Anglican churches.

Yep. It is transferred to April 9.

We never acknowledge Annunciation, but we do make a big thing of Palm Sunday.

Interesting - not a Sunday. I don't know why, I just figured it would be the Sunday after Easter. Is that stilled called "Low Sunday"?

I just looked at the OAC Ordo Kalendar and the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary has been transferred by one day to Monday the 26th.

In our Lutheran church, Annunciation (locally, Maria's Day) has been observed on Sunday between 22nd and 28th March since 1955. If that Sunday falls on Palm Sunday, as it does this year, then Maria's Day is the previous Sunday (i.e. last Sunday the 18th this year). But we do observe it. The liturgical colour is white.

No. The priest in charge is rather Protestant and does not celebrate any of the Marian commemorations.
