hi Tiga, come join the anime club in 'Society' forum!

i've quite a few animes.... the miyazaki films, some old series like 'Wataru', 'Cyber Formula' and 'Initial D' (you'll like CF and ID if you liked cars), and recent ones like 'Slayers', 'Crest of the stars', 'Kenshin' (though this is kind of old) etc.

I love anime. I have a LOT of CD's, manga, DVDs, Videos....too many to list right now.

Nothing inherently wrong with anime.
Yes, it is against my preferences, but in and of itself it is not evil. Just possibly distracting.

lots of things are distracting. (sorry, can't resist)
there're some really great animes, take Kenshin for example, the wondering swordsman who tries to atone for his sin for the war era. How is one to use power? what is justice? can one bear sin alone? what effect does the unpleasant past have on a person? what is the aftermath of war? how do you balance mercy and punishment?

(sorry, can't resist) While Kenshin may have indeed been wondering, I think the word you're looking for is "wandering." j/k

And I agree 100% with Blessed-one. There are some really great animes, and some really bad ones-just like there are some really great Hollywood movies and TV shows and some really bad ones.

If you're not willing to denounce all of Hollywood and never set foot in a theater again (and throw out your entire TV and videotape collections) because of boorish, unartistic, and utterly pandering trash like "American Pie" and "Temptation Island," then please don't denounce all of the entire spectrum that is anime for the offensive parts.

I also like anime. My fav. anime are Spiral ~ Suiri No Kizuna, Hunter X Hunter, Yu Gi Oh and One Piece. Besides anime, I also like manga too. My fav. are Flame of Recca, Rave, Detective Conan, Mars, Fantasista and DN Angel.

I have yet to find one bad anime, to date my personal favorites go down as the slayers, Trigun!!!!!!, and the Street Fighter animated series.

I just collect/build models of my favorite mecha and right now I'm trying to buy the EVA series. The models I have right now are Deathscythe Hell and Big O, but soon I think I'll have Heavyarms Custom and EVA 04.
