Do they have some kind of spirit?

I've heard from many people about this and some say yes we'll see them in Heaven and others say no because animals do not have souls.

So, will we see our pets in Heaven? I don't know... but looking at scripture, it clearly looks like there are animals in Heaven. But our pets? We truly won't know until we get there. Though, I sure hope I'll see them there!

Animals will be part of the Millennial Kingdom, but are not in heaven (anything that looks like that is more than just an animal, like an angel or visionary symbol, like the Lamb Slain is Christ etc.).

If you look at the Genesis account, God did not create them with Ruach/spirit, only Adam and Eve got that.

It also doesn't say they won't be.
The bible is primarily a book about Jesus, who He is, what He has done and what He is going to do and what it means.
It starts with the fall, the middle part is about the journey of redemption and ends with the restoration of all thngs.
It says nothing about many, many things we would all like to know. That's not whats its for.

If you have owned a pet, a dog or cat etc, you know they have personalities and can think and are self aware.

For many people a pet becomes part of the family, hence why hopefully, they too will be with us in heaven.

Snakes and toads and other beasts which are poisonous on account of original sin will then be not only innocuous but even pleasing and nice to play with.

Without death I presume there will be no breeding, or infestations will become out of hand.
