CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If one believes that animal experimentation is animal creulty, then there are many unnecessary stereotypes that individual has and hense needs to study why research done on animals and not on human beings is abundant depending on what's being measured.

It would really depend on what the experiments were for. If animals are being used to better human life (testing for disease cures, etc.) then I don't have a problem with it. I admit I don't know enough about reseach to know if testing on animals is absolutely necessary in this case. If it isn't, then I prefer they don't use animals for testing.

I think using animals for testing make-up and hair products is ridiculous. However, there is a certain need for animals to be tested with medications before they test them on humans. Unless you suggest we find humans to be test subjects.

I'm against it. I hate to think of animals suffering. I don't think it should be tested on humans either. Maybe we put too much emphasis on living longer. If we really and truly believe that when we die we are with Christ, why do you want to live longer in this imperfect state?

I don't agree at all with animals suffering so makeup companies can test out their new brand of mascara. But in some situations, like testing out new drugs being created for disease treatments, then I do agree with it, provided the animals don't suffer and the company treats them humanely.

I against it for make-up,skin care products, that kind of stuff. there are other ways to test it! However when it comes to drugs and health care stuff I'm torn!

Testing hair products or makeup is absolutely ludicrous and wrong! As for finding a cure? There are many many 'people' dying right now who permit themselves to take new experimental drugs to perhaps gain just a bit more time. I also disagree with testing this on animals and they are in sheer agony!

Against it! I think it's terrible to torture animals and that's basically what experimentation is. They don't know what effect whatever they're testing has, and everything has side effects and some have problems and anyway I don't think it's right.
