God never lets us and down..he has a plan for our life and wants the best for us...however sometimes in long seasons of spiritual drought one can become angry at or with God...what does God say about this? Being angry with Him?
If we believe that God is good and has our best interests at heart then we
must believe that during times of spiritual drought God is still working.
What does a drought do?
A drought makes us realize how much we need God.
A drought builds up a spiritual thirst in our souls and causes us to cry out to God.
A drought causes us to see that without God in our lives we will shrivel up and die.
A drought causes us to examine our hearts to see where we might have missed God's plan.
A drought causes us to abandon hope in our ways and to surrender to God all of ourselves
as we see that He is the only one who can deliver our souls from the drought.
The Israelites were a 3 days walk from the promise land and yet they wandered in the wilderness for
40 years because they would not trust the Lord and allow Him to lead them but instead they grumbled
and complained all the way as they accused God of having evil intentions toward them.
We should learn a lesson from those who failed and try our utmost to
trust in the Lord and not falsely accuse Him when He truly does have our BEST interest at heart.
Pray, surrender, cry out and ask God to take from you anything that would
cause you to wander in the wilderness and ask God to create in you a
clean heart and renew a right spirit within you so that He can take you to
"the promise land" of life and life abundantly as promised to those who are in Christ.
Be mindful that God's idea of life and life more abundantly does not always
line up with our ideas.
Christ lived the abundant life as He gave His all for others and did all
that was good and acceptable before His Father.
Hope this helps...
