Thanks for sharing these beautiful stories everyone!

I will always remember as a kid, the pastors wife driving me and her daughter to church camp. She was telling me of the previous year, when just her and her daughter were going, and their car broke down at night on a seemingly deserted road. No sooner than they pulled off the road, a friendly looking man came up to help them, fixed their car (can't remember if it was a tire or what), she turned her back to check on her daughter in the car, and when she turned back around to thank him again and tell him goodbye, he was gone. Vanished. no car, no nothing. he was just gone. She knew God had sent an angel, and at that moment even as a young child I knew God sent angels to watch over us. It was beautiful!

I think about this incident that happened all the time and I must share it with you all.

A few years ago my daughter (the same one who has been ill) had gone with a group from church to Denny's after service one night. They all went in and put a couple of tables together and were all seated and waiting for their orders. An old woman came over to the table and pressed an envelope into my daughter's hand and told her "The Lord told me that you needed this." My daughter had noticed the woman sitting at a table alone when they went in. Anyway my daughter thanked her and the woman went back and sat down. She had a glass of water and a cup of something in front of her. Their food came and they all ate and then my daughter looked in the envelope. It was $250.00, the exact amount which my daughter needed and had been praying about. Some of the people around her asked her where it came from. She said that woman over there came over and gave it to me. They all looked and said they saw nobody there. My daughter didn't see anyone either at that table and the table was bare as if nobody had been sitting there. As my daughter looked up she saw the woman through the window outside. She was looking at my daughter and smiling and then she just seemed to vanish. The thing was, nobody had seen this woman come over to the table and they were all sitting close together. Nobody ever saw her at all but my daughter. And how many people do you know who will walk up and give someone $250.? God will and this time He sent a messenger angel to deliver it. PTL! What an awesome God!!

What Do Angels Look Like?

Like the little old lady who returned your wallet yesterday.

Like the taxi driver that told you that your eyes light up the world when you smile.

Like the small child who showed you the wonder in simple things.

Like the poor man who offered to share his lunch with you.

Like the rich man who showed you that it really is all possible, if only you believe.

Like the stranger who just happened to come along, when you had lost your way.

Like the friend who touched your heart, when you didn't think you had one to touch.

Angels come in all sizes and shapes, all ages and skin types.
Some with freckles, some with dimples, some with wrinkles, some without.

They come disguised as friends, enemies, teachers, students, lovers and fools.

They don't take life too seriously, they travel light.

They leave no forwarding address, they ask nothing in return.

They wear sneakers with gossamer wings, they get a great deal on dry cleaning.

They are hard to find when your eyes are closed, But they are everywhere you look, when you choose to see.

An Angel Whisper

Angels are ever all around us
And with His love they do surround us.
When my heart is sore in need
The angels come, my soul to feed.
They come to me from up above
and sing in whispers of "His" love.
When in my heart I feel a tug
I know that it's an Angel's hug.

It was a strange day - I stopped to get gas in a downpour - a young man (pretty scruffy looking) was standing at the exit trying to get a ride by hitchhiking - (this was years ago) I was pretty scard and said to the Lord - OK if he's still there when i'm done pumping my gas i'll give him a ride - then it was OK if he's still there when i'm done paying i'll give him a ride. HE was still there & so as scared as I was I offered him a ride and ended up taking him to his home (no big deal) it was out of my way but I figured he needed to get home. A couple of weeks later I was trying to unload a heavy table and chairs from my brother-in-laws truck by myself - when out of nowhere this same young man appeared & took my heavy furniture into my dining room. It made me think then as it still does that we can be entertaining angels unaware.

I remember this picture hanging in my great grandmother's home when I was a child. I also remember her talking to me about it and telling me how God sends His angels to watch over us and care for us. I love this picture and was surprised when I found it. It holds a lot of special memories for me. Just wanted to share it with everyone.

I love this picture...we had it on a pillow when i was little, i also had a little glass box with this picture...it brought me so much comfort when i got scared as a child

I love this picture! I have one I painted "via Tri-chem" that has always hung in one kid's room or another since I finished it. Jesus is in it instead of an angel and He glows. .. and then I have an old oil painting from either the forties or a reproduced one from the seventies. Either way, I just love it ... and the colors in it are awesome. Thank you, Joy!

I had a dream of standing in the church near the altar and I looked up towards the platform and I saw two Angels like figures standing there. Both of them were dressed in white glisioning robes, and the power of the anointing of god emunated out from them, and their eyes looked right into your inner most being. At first they scared me and I thought I was in real trouble and I thought maybe I should run for my life, and thought again thinking and where will I run too? Then I decided to stand still. One of these Angels came down to me and it look like he had some papers in hand like typing paper. The papers resembled a message, then he placed them in my heart.
I thought at first these two Angels reminded me of the two Angels who visited Sodom, and thought that some sort of judgment was about to take place cause they both stood there as if they were waiting on something. This was about three years ago, and sence then I wrote a message concering the sign of Jonah. I've came to the Idea that what I saw may have been the spirit presence of the two witness to come in the tribulation period.
I'm 50 years old now and I haven't even wrote as much as a letter to anyone sence I graduated school 30 years ago. I'm just a semple carpenter, and never studied anything much, only the bible. I'm a born again filled with the holy spirit for 30 years and all at once here I'm seeing God move in new ways in my life.

I don't have a story to add, but it's such a lovely thread I wanted to add something. So I thought I would post the scriptures to the first mention of the word angel in the bible. I hope Im not out of line.

Genesis 16:7-16

7. And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.

8. And he said, Hagar, Sarai's maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.

9. And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.

10. And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.

11. And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.

12. And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

Thank you, JoynTx. I feel better now. It kind of worried me. I found the next verses to do with an angel. Here they are.

Genesis 21:17-21

17. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

18. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

19. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

20. And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.
21. And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

I have seen angels. One time, my mom and I were driving along and these people were broken down on the side of the road. At this time, my Daddy was still alive (I'm still having a hard time with that . . . it's only been three months tonight) and she was not going to stop to help them. I understand that there is having to be safe. So, she drove a little ways - not far - and I said, "Don't you think Daddy would have the tools to help them. We could call him."

Anyway, we turned around and the whole family and the car was gone! There was not enough time to fix the car or to push the car elsewhere and get them going . . . they would've been somewhere within my sight, but they weren't. They were completely gone . . . no longer there at all!

I've never had an actual encounter with an angel, but I've been asking God for a sign. Well, i went to this awesome house church on wednesday night and because it was my first time and they prophesy over first timers, I got to be prophesied over. it was awesome. But the first one who spoke and the first thing that was said was that I had an angel standing behind my left shoulder. They didn't name it but said it was orange. They said that the angel was sent to comfort me and was assigned to me. That made me so happy. I have an orange angel watching over me and comforting me. It's just such awesomeness. I'm so glad I started going to a pentecostal church that is open to such things that lead me to this house church.

I have never seen an angel,would be nice to.But I know that we have angels all around us.
My husband was on buisness driving through Alaska and was on a very icy road and could hardly steer his truck,when he was going over the crest of a hill he saw a semi-truck coming,it was so slippery he could not make the slight right curve on the highway.The last thing he seen was the front of the semi coming at him and prepared himself for the crash.The next thing he knew he was at the side of the truck and his mirror was hanging off.He had hit the truck and it had pushed him back into his own lane.Certainly was the hand of an angel pushed him over to his own side.A miracle for sure.No question about it.
