I really have no idea why I like Andrew W.K.'s music- it's not deep, it's not particularly complex musically. I guess it's just a nice change, like watching a mindless action movie. It's fun, which is refreshing when compared with the vast majority of the "woe is me, the world hates me, waaaaaaah" music that's popular these days.
Anyway, Cornerstone Magazine has an interview with him that I found interesting. He's very passionate about what he does and what he believes in- in that respect he reminds me a little of Keith Green. From the interview it sounds as if he's still searching for something. Sure would be cool if that something turned out to be Jesus.
I would snap up a Christian AWK album in a heartbeat.
