I FINALLY figured it out.....I clicked on the miniature personal avatar right next to the search icon in the right side of the overhead menu bar. Then I clicked on the little icon of the person with a gearwheel next to him. Then I clicked on "Preferences", and I checked the box that says, "Disable holiday styling", and the snow stopped. No more fluttering flakes driving me insane as I'm trying to read through threads. Whew, am I glad I figured that out!!!!
I will try that tomorrow!

That is what I want when it is freakin' cold and worried about driving on snow and ice. I like a CONSTANT REMINDER it is winter. Plus, what about people from the southern hemisphere?
Just turn off the holiday options. :)

I assume that the majority of people posting on CF reside in North America, but these holiday features like snow etc. look pretty stupid considering we are in the middle of Summer where I am. Same with Thanksgiving. That isn't celebrated anywhere else in the world than the USA.
Put another shrimp on the barbie mate!

I’m not turning it on to look. It might get stuck. That would drive me crazy.

I noticed this earlier today! I like it! But then again, I LOVE snow! I'm really hoping for a white Christmas.
Keep that snow over your way.. ^_^ :tonguewink:

Probably either the humidity or the crocodiles.
I had asked a guy who lived in Darwin why the beaches were always empty in all the photos I had seen. "Was there a problem with sharks?"
"Nah, the crocs ate all the sharks!"
During Summer, the humidity is so bad that a large chunk of the population relocates inland to Alice Springs
