  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

And it Begins

Yep, I'm one of those "rare" people who voted for him. That's how presidents get elected.

The same could be said against any president in history. Wasn't there any time when Obama and his people tried influencing members of Congress to pass a bill he wanted? Didn't he have anything at all to say to them to get Obamacare passed? Lobbyists swarm capitol to influence health reform | Center for Public Integrity It's just the normal course of politics for a president to do so.
Like i said in another post, all presisents try to influence congress and it is naive to think they dont try or have some influence. Listen to some of the old phone recordings of president johnson literally threatening people in congress, to get votes.

Yep, I saw your post right after I wrote mine.
There seems to be some people here who think it's somehow strange, or even un-American that President Trump is doing anything that would try to persuade Congress to pass a bill he's in favor of, even if presidents of the past have done so throughout history.
