  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And another shoe drops...

Hackers Warn Trump to Get Back in Line on Syria
The mysterious hacker group the Shadow Brokers resurfaced this weekend to threaten President Trump over his actions in Syria—likely proving they were puppets of Putin.

In the waning months of the Obama administration, just as the White House began confronting Russia over its election interference, a mysterious hacker group called the Shadow Brokers appeared, and started causing big problems for U.S. intelligence agencies. The hackers had gotten ahold of secret NSA hacking tools, and they were periodically releasing portions of the cache for the world to see.

Eight days before Donald Trump’s swearing-in, the hackers announced their retirement, bolstering suspicions that the Shadow Brokers were part of the Kremlin’s sophisticated hacking apparatus. They haven’t been heard from since. Until now.

On Saturday, the Shadow Brokers blazed back to life to release another tranche of NSA files. This time they’ve abandoned their former pretext of being mercenary hackers looking to make a buck. In a lengthy open letter to Donald Trump, the Shadow Brokers explain that they’ve returned to protest the US missile strike against a Syrian airbase Thursday – an action that marked Trump’s first significant move directly opposing the will of Russian president Vladimir Putin. And they warn the president that he will face consequences if he doesn’t revert back to his former policy of leaving Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, a Putin ally, alone.
...

(profanity deleted; warning, one very offensive word on this site) the hackers cautioned Trump. "Is appearing you are abandoning ‘your base’, ‘the movement’, and the peoples who getting you elected.”

To security experts watching the group, the Shadow Brokers’ resurgence now leaves little doubt that Putin is pulling their strings. “It’s almost certainly the Russian government,” says Jake Williams, founder of Rendition Infosec. “Whether they’re directly Russian government or controlled by the Russians, all evidence points there.”

...

Another piece of advice addresses the controversy still swirling around Trump over the circumstances of his election. The Shadow Brokers suggest Trump stop denying that the Kremlin helped him win the presidency.

“Celebrate it,” they write.

Looks like Putin is feeling a little double-crossed right now. Welcome to the club, Vlad.

Looks like the 'Shadow Brokers' will have to take a number and get in line .. Me and Trump are too busy winning ..

Yep, Obamacare, travel bans, Flynn fiasco, Sessions forced to recuse himself for getting involved in Russiagate...

So much win, we're tired of winning, um? Really, really tired, from all accounts of WH churning.

BTW, where's Obama ?

...will remain alt-right fantasies?

Most of us thought so. But even the Republicans are now doing an investigation to see how far Putin actually was able to help Trump. But then they pick the guy to lead the investigation, who sneaks into the WH to tell Trump what the committee has on him.

The republicans have to get back to being Americans.

As the CIA and FBI suspected, Shadow Brokers turn out to be a Russian intelligence operation. And they apparently dropped their cover to hand a blunt warning to Trump to get back on the plantation or fact consequences.

...
At the same time, the Shadow Brokers warn Trump, at length, that he’ll face public ridicule if he continues to displease them.

“Do you be remembering when you were sitting there at the Obama Press Party and they were all laughing at you?,” they write. “Do you be remembering when you touring the country and all those peoples believed in you and supported you? You were those peoples hope. How do you be thinking it will be feeling when those people turn on you? Will they be laughing at you, hating you, and mocking you too?”

Also, a counter point:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/paular...ow-brokers-about-to-be-unmasked/#9e1002439367

"As with most hacking and leak stories - the identity of the perpetrator or perpetrators is highly contested and scrutinised. Much of the chatter surrounding the latest data breach pertains to the language used again (Motherboard suggested in 2016 that the group may be English speaking after linguistic analysis). The Reuters op-ed by cybersecurity expert and Foreign Policy Magazine columnist James Bamford, agrees with Motherboard, the group is most likely not a group but a disgruntled employee much like Edward Snowdon was. If so, that's a ticking bomb waiting to go off for the NSA."

Also, the hackers outed themselves, abandoning all pretense of being in it for money, assailing Trump for turning on his backers, and threatening him with consequences if he didn't resume doing what Putin wanted.

They also chided him about winning because Putin helped him, telling him to "celebrate it."

At least Russia does it with no death in hacking. We, on the other hand, bomb ,then, replace government/regimes with plenty of death, right? So, for me, kudos in a non violent way to replace a regime. Guess we need to step up our hacking skills instead of war skills , eh? This is not a go Russia statement, but, a tip of the hat in finding a non violent way of regime replacement (If True). Still have not seen those IP addies yet after months to trace them.
