Posters on the Depression Forum frequently start a thread about how abandoned/worthless/insecure/hopeless they feel, then two threads down the page these same people are coming alongside and encouraging someone else who is feeling much the same way. Except now the first poster is showing real godly compassion and encouraging the second poster with well thought out, Biblically accurate and sound responses.
See, poster #1 can see through all the BS poster #2 is struggling with but poster #1 can't cut themselves the same slack. What I'm trying to say is that the Lord is USING poster #1 in a marvelous way to minister to poster #2 even though poster #1 will strongly maintain in their own mind that they are unforgiven/forsaken/abandoned when nothing could be further from the truth. YOU ARE LOVED AND VALUED AS A UNIQUE CREATION BY OUR CREATOR! And being in such an honored position the King of the Universe USES US!
I'm writing this through a general haze of sadness and feeling like crap,. But I know better, so I recognize these bad feelings for what they are and know they will pass. Helping you (I hope) has helped me. Thank you.
