Hi; I’m tov. I love Zola Levitt and Sid Roth. Two years ago I began studying Hebrew. I am pre-millennial and pre-trib. I believe the Messiah Yeshua will come by 2020 to reveal himself physically in Jerusalem. (I am not a date setter. This is my hunch)
Ba Ha Meshiah!!! HaleluYeshua!!! Tsidcanu!
Come Messiah!!! Praise Jesus!!! Our Righteousness!
Ah-geel-ah b’ Yeshua
I will rejoice in thy Salvation.

Isn’t it exciting to see this Messianic movement?
I hope Sid Roth’s book, They Thought for Themselves,
will do alot of good. Its being given to Ukrainian Jews
before they make Aliya- homecoming to Israel.
Isn’t it exciting to understand the prophetic significance
of the Feasts of the LORD!

I have a BA in Bible Theology, and
hope to do my masters in
The Prophets in their own Language

I’m hoping to find good people here.
I have found these “Christian Forums” to be rather hostile to the whole Word of God. I’m hoping the Messianic Community will be friendlier and will have similar views and insights we can share with one another.

Please introduce yourselves.
I hope we can be friends.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Ps 133:1)

(I speak of unity in truth and spirit-
-not of compromising doctrine for the sake of ecumenicism)

Well, since we are meeting because of Y’shua, I guess to introduce my self I should explain a little bit about how I came to find Y’shua.

* Warning long and may be boring to some: *

I grow up in Catholic family, question much but greeting few answers. Soon I found my self turning 17 and I had almost comply given up, I began get closer and closer in to catholic faith, but it seemed the farther I went the farther I seem to be from the point of understanding. Of course, I always put my trust in Our Father, so I began looking at the possibility of other doctrine in him.

I started with Islam, but after a few teaches I went to read through the Koran, and that was the end of that. However I did take away one thing, Christianity has been over taken by idols.

My second look was to other Christian denominations, but I looked and I saw no more answers there then I did in the Catholic Church.

I finally looked at Judaism, which went ok, but I still knew in some way, I was not in my Lord. Of course the whole time still going still to Catholic Church.

Finally, I was feed up and ready to start my own denomination, yet something held me back, for I knew this is not the path to find God.

So I ripped all the idols (catholic statues) off the walls of the room I was in, I bent down on my knees and I cried out “I know I am blind Lord, Make me see”

I said this and had a three day fast, still in drying hope, that is when on the TV came to a bible study and warning to people, and when I heard it I said, “yes, yes that is him”. Yet without looking at what church or group that had sponsored this, I had no idea where to find the congregation of these fellow.

But with this new mission and understanding, I went strait back into the bible, and for once in my life, I was understanding what was being said. Within a week I had more knowledge then any of my Old Catholic friends or colleges.

Yet, after the Sabbath (which I now began to keep, and boy it was the best thing that ever happened”) next Sunday my mother wanted me to go to church with her. So I agree but it just seemed like that day it was all so wrong, we got in the car and I told my mother for two hours all the wrong things that had happens. I said “never will I go back there.” Yet my mother ask me “well I do not want to loss going to church with you every week, it very close to my heart.” And what was I to say to that? Well I answered “what if we get another church” see said that would be great.

So it was off the Internet, and there I found it “Messianic Jewish congregation”

And so next Sabbath we went to the Meeting Place. and we were welcomed and it was great, but it was hard, there was so much Hebrew(which is a beautiful language)and new traditions, and also I soon had a disagreement with the Rabbi about the Tulmud (not a big one just a little one), Also my mother did not want to go back, It was all very new to her and she was without the vast reaserch I had done on the subject over the years.

So after the next Sabbath, I was watching and low and behold there was that show again, and guess what it was about? That right “what is the church of God”

And I watch and did write down the name this time. And look them up, but for some reason I type something in wrong and found a similar church.

So I though no harm in trying, they hold all of Gods word so close to their heart.

So we went, and what a great experience, we were greeted really with love and attention, we sat behind a elder, which was just great cause he took care of us, and they produce much fully bible based booklets for self learning. The sermon was relative to our life and went in depth into the bible.

This new loving atmosphere was very good and encouraged me greatly, thought me tons and is still just a great place to go on the Sabbath .My mother is also learning a lot and loves that she found Y’shua to.

Well anyways welcome,
And I look forward to your posts here,
God bless,
Datsar

I'm not Jewish. My mom's not. My dad's not. My Savior IS.
I try to rest on Saturday (sometimes have to work)
I go to church on sunday- i play bass in the band.
God has a plan for the Jews.
A third of them will make it thru the tribulation.
I suspect only a tenth of gentiles will make it thru the tribulation or less.
The "church" (mostly rome in the past and present and now presently the liberal and ecumenical church of today) needs to repent for its wrongs against God's chosen people. But they wont. Sin waxes worse and worse.

The Talmud is not always great for comentary or instruction.
Even my favorite instructors and comentaries are faulted
(as we all are)
But;
The Bible is not faulted.
I have a heart for the Jews. They have been thru so much.
I defend Israel, and work to expose the lies of the islamic world.
I try to awaken people to the Islamic threat against the 'west'
All I need to know about islam is sura 9:5
-its so hate filled-
Dont worry about the letter of the law
its all been fulfilled
its the spirit that matters
God is Good
Ah-geelah B' Yeshua (Ps9:14)

greetings to you tov
and it is tov to have you here.
May you pull up a chair at our table and contribute- or even dance for us so that we may see your steps.

I myself had went through something very similar as Datsar.
I am Jew borne from the family of Levi.
However, my parents are secular- and my biological father, i never knew.
So basically I was reared a "christian".
after a while I believed in its faith.
Then being taught by word of mouth many falacies I battled every day in high school with a group that called themselves "israelites".
And being "Jew" and claiming this authority never crossed my mind- because"christianity" did away with the such.
However, reaching college- I had great revelations about many things- I was being bombarded with many religions left and right. I fell into a few and came right back out because they were wrong.
Then I asked HaSHem, To "help me so that I can help others". And slowly he has brought me to the point I am now.
Zealous for His Torah!
I hold onto Talmud aswell- and I see it as an awesome commentary.
And I hold on to the sepher besurat YHshWH
a higher and greater commentary on Torah, but much more smaller and it doesnt get into vast detail.

but, tov, there are already things I dont agree with you on. And so we here or I myself with the authority given will weed it out of you only if you are willing.
I am looking to be ONE- but never ONE with fallacies.

I don’t understand why the Talmud would be used by a Bible believer;

Sanhedrin 107B of the Babylonian Talmud: "Jesus... stood up a brick to symbolize an idol and bowed down to it. Jesus performed magic and incited the people of Israel and led them astray."
*** Source: The Babylonian Talmud, volume 21, Tractate Sanhedrin, Part VII, translated into English by Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, copyright 1999

another Talmud passage about Jesus, Sanhedrin 43A: "On Passover Eve they hanged Jesus of Nazareth. He practiced sorcery, incited and led Israel astray...Was Jesus of Nazareth deserving of a search for an argument in his favor? He was an enticer and the Torah says, 'You shall not spare, nor shall you conceal him!"

The Talmud decrees that Jesus is in hell because he opposed the rabbis; Tractate Gittin 57a

The talmudic rabbis didn’t believed that Jesus was the messiah or the son of God.* In fact, they believed that in claiming so he was a false prophet.* They did not believe that he was born through a virgin birth.

If they did believe in these concepts then they would have joined the Menim
the early Jews for Jesus. The 19th benediction was invented to get the menim out of the synagogs.

I suggest you read The Messiah Conspiracy
over 100 pages of this book are about the invention of the 19th benediction.
the book is by Hal Lindsey’s assistant
Dr.Philip Moore (ramshead press)

sepher besurat YHshWH? is that New Testament?
Torah- Yes Yes Yes!!!

If I am not mistaken there is a thread around here somewhere about Torah VS Talmid. Most Messianics ( mainstream ones if you will) are Sola Scriptura believers, MJAA statement says that as well as other well known MJ groups. That is my position. If you are strong and well versed in the word then I think Talmud can be read for History and insite, but not followed if it in anyway goes against the teachings in Torah, and that includes the Brit Chadasha as well.

what i dont understand is why people THROW OUT Talmud just because of those opinions in there anyway.

Some(jews) will ask if Messiah was an actual historical person.
Its all because they dont believe he was real. And if he was- how do you know that he actually did "miracles".
Reffer them to the Talmud.
Yeshu did sorcery according to the oppossing view.
Thats ok, i dont mind that they say that it is sorcery- sorcery and miracles look alot alike to me- however its all in its source.
They also say that Yeshu ALSO had to empower himself with "the name" Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey.
Doesnt this fit exactly with what Messiah had done- and this also proves by both the opposing and pro views.
Messiah, Historically, lived and did miracles.

Now why throw out Talmud for the such?
There are recorded stories in there about an awesome and recognised rabbi named eleazar who was called min because he recieved word and awesome truth from Ya'acov.
and the other rabbi who asked him why he was called min did not retaliate against him.

there are many good that comes from talmud. alot more insight.
And they are Jews who wrote it.
MUST WE GIVE CURSE FOR CURSE?
or Blessing for blessing and Blessing for curse?
I would rather walk in the second for that is the way that Messiah, Stephanos and Ya'acov walked and gave up their spirits too. They all said "Hashem, Abba, forgive them- because they do not know their actions and what they are causing."
And this is the same exact way we should be today.
I believe we lost that.
I see a unified Judah by the giving of peace- to them AND the world to regain Yisrael and with that the world.

I have always renderred heneyni as more of "lead me"
I may be wrong.

Im not that well versed as I would like to be.

However, with "show me L-RD" it depends in which way you would imply it.
it has to be more literal for one.
There are only two ways i can think of for the moment that it can be in the Hebrew which would be "lead" or "direct"
both have very different meaning in our Language(Hebrew)
I'll use tehellim 5:9 for an example
5:9 YHVH| N'cheyni b'tzdidkatecha

this is more of a leading- not in the sense of TEACHING

and the other is "HOREYNI" to point in a direction/teach---> SHOW ME or TEACH me, POINT to me

as far as TALMUD goes there are two ways to render it yet it does not do away with ORAL halacha/Torah
"Torah ba'al peh" Oral Torah

Matt 23
the Pharisees sit on the seat of Moses. So listen to what they tell you. But do not do as they do for they say and do not. [as recorded in Greek]

as recorded by Hebrew Shemtov and syriac and latin it says
The pharisees sit in the seat of Moses. BUT DO as he(moses) says. But do not do as they do. Because they say and do not.
Meaning. That Moses said that the Spirit did rest on 70 elders and whatever they said was supposed to be heeded as Torah itself- and this continued down till the present day- so Oral Torah is not abolished and neither negated- however, who are these elders today? and whose halacha should we be following exactly?
Alot of what the descendants of the pharisees bind is good for us and few things are troubling for it negates the negative commandments of Torah.
I believe HaShem supplies accordingly to His Torah.
But this Im sure you all do not understand since non of you are Orthodox.

The Orthodox believe this. There are positive and negative commandments of Torah.
I believe this aswell.
However, if to fulfill a Positive commandment like the shabbat- we must break a negative commandment, we are not punished for it.
LIKE:
if there is a famine and there is no food anywhere you may eat the pig.
This is what the rabbi's ruled during the holocaust.
However, if it was a true group of believers- no such rule would have ever crossed their minds.
For I know this would have happened.
"HaShem, we are in need of sustanance and there is nothing around us in which is called food, So give us father accordingly to each family and individual, even more on shabbat so that we may continue steadfast in your doctrine."
And clean food would have been multiplied, if not during the week, at least during the sabbath when a person must eat.

So, we see that the rabbis have many good intentions for their decision making- yet they base it solely on themselves as humans gaining a spiritual name.
I see it a different way.
maybe you can too

8 And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said: 'Here am I; send me.'

What is this word? = הִנְנִי

Isn't that Heneyni? For the question the L-rd asked was Whom shall I send, and who will go for us (;) hmm;) ).
