CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

All right...basically, it's about the Om-Shan, an elite class of warrior-mages, and the main enemy is going to be a Shade, who is kind of an evil clone of James, the Kalv-Shan (leader of the Om-Shan).
The Om-Shan are men who are magically bonded with Sorceresses, or women who can use magic (duh
). The Sorceresses provide the magic and cast the spells while the Om-Shan fight. Om-Shan and Sorceresses are paired off, and it's almost like an arranged marriage--they don't HAVE to marry each other, but they can't marry anyone else.
Characters so far....
James--Kalv-Shan (NavyGuy)
Ayliana--James' Sorceress (me)
Joline--a fortune-teller (Lady Knight)
Kaden--a ten-year-old pickpocket (Ellesar)
Darcie--White Wings' Om-Shan's Sorceress (CJF)
(White Wings still needs to make her character....)
(no name yet)--the Shade (BeautifullyImperfect)
Oh, and Om-Shan can transfer imprints of themselves into amulets or other items during times of danger and give them to their Sorceresses to protect, so that if they're fatally wounded they can be revived.

It's basically medieval-ish, but of course there's magic to it as well.
And do we want to use angelic spheres? Everyone would be able to use them, as they are very useful.

You'll have to ask LK, exxile, but I think you should either try to stick to the established magic system we have (PM me or NavyGuy for details) or come up with a magic system for your character. Maybe a system based on the elements as opposed to one based on the user's stregnths?
