-so do you know the answer?

A question about the Lord's Prayer on 'Jeopardy' caused an uproar on Twitter

The contestants on Tuesday's episode failed to answer the 'simple' puzzle

Do you think you would be able to buzz in and get the win?

'Jeopardy!' fans were furious after the contestants on Tuesday's episode failed to answer a 'simple' question about the Lord's Prayer during the game.

Players Joe, Laura, and Suresh were unable to give the correct answer to host Mayim Bialik's question regarding the commonly recited prayer.

'Matthew 6:9 says, "Our Father, which art in heaven, [THIS] be thy name," Bialik said, asking the group to fill in the blank with the correct word.

Shockingly, the group made an error of biblical proportions by not even attempting to guess the correct answer as the stage remained silent until Bialik gave the answer.

So, do you know the word that is missing? Scroll to see if you are smarter than three Jeopardy contestants.

If you guessed 'hallowed,' you would've been correct and would have netted $200.

Immediately after Biyalik gave the group the answer, fans on Twitter started piling on with their anger and shock at the contestants' inability to answer the question.

'Today, 3 Jeopardy contestants did not know the first line of the 'Lord's Prayer!' Sad. Our Father, who art in heaven, ________ be thy name; They didn't know the answer: 'Hallowed.' Pathetic,' one person wrote.

'That’s “hallowed,” you heathens! #Jeopardy,' another added.

It's a post-Christian society. A lot of people these days wouldn't know the first thing about Christianity. Sometimes when we have baptisms it's obvious the nominated "god-parents" haven't got a clue what it's all about.

In one way this would be an advantage if there was a revival which started in the Catholic Church. Those with no Christian background would not bring a lot of "denominational" baggage with them, and the same would go for atheists.

In any case a lot of them are atheists or agnostics.

I saw the program and I knew that Suresh, who came from India, was not Christian,
so I didn't think he could answer the question. The other two, I believe one is Jewish,
whom I could understand not knowing the answer. The other's beliefs were not
apparent, so who knows. Either way, it's a reflection of our society here in the US today.

Mayim Bialik I believe is Jewish, but she doesn't have control over what questions will be asked.
