  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No. Those words don't mean whatever you think they mean.

What do you have the original dictionary? Are you now a follower of scholasticism? From hence have thou been schooled?

No seriously, what makes your definitions right and mine wrong? What if the webster's dictionary is wrong?

I'm fairly certain this is the dumbest question I've ever been asked.

Words mean things. You can't just change them as you like.

As if the arguments from ignorance and general crackpottery (eg: PLASMA 99.8% and NOAH CONTAINED ALL THE VARIATION) of creationists weren't reason enough to laugh in their faces.

Dictionaries are descriptive, not prescriptive.

What are feelings?

My answer would be that emotions are evolution derived impulses to steer your behaviour in ways that ensure your survival, social integration, reproductive success and the continuation of your genes. Emotions not to do with these drives tend to be less overpowering - actually I'm struggling to think of any that aren't to do with them, but I expect there are a few. Basically, when you feel emotions you are experiencing the results of evolution in a very direct way.

I still haven't seen anyone show me where in the bible god explains the number of dimensions in the universe or quantum mechanics.

And I still haven't gotten an answer to where the bible says how god created himself and the place in which he resides, nor how that is possible, nor how it is impossible to detect even though it supposedly interacts with our own physical universe.

well we have explained it ad naseum to you. Maybe we can start of with a question about you? Like how nothing exploded and caused everything. Thats a good one to start off with, we too have questions and we have mainly been focusing on trying to help you understand but I am beginning to think you simply want a debate, and thats fine too. So answer the question please and in your own words.

Personally, I have no idea of how nothing exploded and caused everything. Do you have an example of "nothing?"

You need to do a little more research into this area.

You've haven't provided anything about how the bible proves your claims or that your claims are based on scripture.

As to the cause of the universe, I don't know. But making up an answer is worse than having no answer.

I also certainly don't believe that a people who lived in the bronze age, got it right.

You mean like you change God? Who gave you speech that you may judge the rights/wrongs of Scholastica?

I have provided how the God of the scriptures mentions prophecy ahead of time. Meaning time is not an element. Other scriptures where God mentions being eternal. And several others (but you will have to go back and read my posts)

You provided no such thing.

In a world where laughing at the misfortune of others, may be acceptable, unfortunately it was not funny, and fortunately the word fortune is not a concept to be expected in the far future of an non-believer.
