"The fact that life evolved out of nearly nothing, some 10 billion years after the universe evolved out of literally nothing, is a fact so staggering that I would be mad to attempt words to do it justice."
Richard Dawkins
The practice of quoting out of context, sometimes referred to as "contextomy" or "quote mining", is a logical fallacy and a type of false attribution in which a passage is removed from its surrounding matter in such a way as to distort its intended meaning.[1]
Arguments based on this fallacy typically take two forms. As a straw man argument, which is frequently found in politics, it involves quoting an opponent out of context in order to misrepresent their position (typically to make it seem more simplistic or extreme) in order to make it easier to refute. As an appeal to authority, it involves quoting an authority on the subject out of context, in order to misrepresent that authority as supporting some position.[2]

I seriously doubt that you can do the same with your Bible.
One strand of information did not suddenly appear out of nothing. You clearly don't understand either evolution or abiogenesis.
You cannot debunk an idea that you do not understand.
kellhus said:Well, that makes no sense at all. Rambling about pain, reproductive rights, genitalia, abortion, God, fetal cognition.
Your evidence is based on text books, science journals and they have been written by men.
Care to explain why the bible is not proof for my answers, but your answers are correct based on books. If the answers are based on observation, where is the difference based on Christian observation?
Subduction Zone said:So are you saying that since 2/3 of the people in the world believe that your God is not the real God is that evidence he does not exist?

You've done exactly what I've done to be saved?
First, salvation is not based on me. Secondly, if you copied the exact life that I lived, how would you not come to the same beliefs as me?
Thanks for telling me that a strand of information did not suddenly appear. That would not even fit into the evolutionary propaganda. It appeared over 4.5 billion years, right?

But a universe from nothing actually makes sense:

Do you seriously require someone to explain to you the difference between religious texts and scientific texts?
Yes.
lasthero said:A lone quote without even the slightest bit of context.
Well, I see no reason to not take that at face value.
Also, even without the context, he's not saying anything came from nothing.
He said 'nearly' nothing.
Nearly. Nearly nothing is not the same as nothing. In fact, nearly nothing...is something.
And here's a question - what is 'nothing'?
You did not take time to watch the video. So your saying "no one has said that"?
The absence of God.
Please take the time to do so; if it helps you understand the conversation better.
