  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We have a baker in the house, I can almost smell it coming out of the oven, all hot and fresh. You have wetted my appetite for more of this bread you are baking.

Heheheh :)

As of late I've been on a real baking kick for some reason. Sourdough's what I'm aiming at now, but it takes a LOT of time and investment to get it just right.

Any other comments anyone?

Peace!

I enjoyed the article. The explainations and associations were not strained and fairly well constructed :)

Forgive my ignorance of wine making - I thought it was the yeast that remained on the grapes that ferments the wine.... but your article leads me to think I am, perhaps, in error. Would you please explain your statement: "Other things like wine may be permissible, as they do not require שאר (sha'or) to be made"?? :)

Back then it would be a natural fermentation process to make wine, versus using a sha'or to proof it like bread, yogurt or cheese. That white powdery stuff on the skins of grapes is natural yeast that grows with it.

Also as I believe I mentioned in the article, in Biblical Hebrew vinegar is referred to as khemetz yayin, fermented/soured wine, as to imply that wine in and of itself is not khametz, hence why I say "may be permissible" because I'm not sure; more research required.
