Stop twisting what I said. I will converse with any of you about the books of the bible. But I will not discuss my personal faith with you.
What exactly did I twist and where in my post did I twist it?
Why?
Yet you use it as an argument in a discussion.Look, faith is subjective.
And describing it somehow harms it?Its personal, and its sacred.
If you don't want to discuss your faith, stop using it as an argument.Something I guess you do not know about or you would respect my views.
What words did I put into your mouth? You tried to put words in my mouth and that is cruel.
How exactly is it disrespectful to ask for an explanation of something that you used as an argument?Something that is lacking with unbelievers is respect for others views.
And I asked you why.I have said this before but I will discuss any book of the bible with you but I will not discuss my personal faith.

If anyone is disrespectful, it's you.
And I asked you why.
You do not understand what faith is. And for me to explain my faith to you is like throwing my treasured beliefs in front of a vulture.
Well, obviously, because you bring it up in an argument and then don't explain it. How can one understand it if you don't explain it?

I'm sure we're all familiar with the Cosmological, Teleological, and Ontological 'proofs' for the existence of God, but these at best prove the existence of a first cause, a designer, and a maximal being. What I'm interested in, is if there's an argument out there that proves the existence of the Christian God specifically.
Two notes:
1) This isn't GA so I'm fairly certain we can't actually pick apart the argument. Just pointing to it should be OK.
2) Arguments from things like Bible codes and such nonsense don't count - I want nice, neat, logical argument like the Kalam.
So... anyone?
Fulfilled prophecy.
is the Islamic philosophical discipline of seeking theological principles through dialectic If you want to discuss Kalam then go to a muslim site.
I do take it for an answer. If you refuse to convince me of the correctness of your beliefs, that's your problem, not mine. Can you not take NO for an answer? I will not discuss my personal faith with you. I will discuss the bible.

Presumably you don't mean the sheer utterance of the words 'Jesus Christ'. What argument are you referring to?The best argument we have is Jesus Christ himself. If he does not convince you then no lesser argument will.
There are plenty of Christians pushing that argument that you could be telling off instead.
But of course, you won't.

So those who don't believe in God because he hasn't deigned to reveal himself to them, can't be held to blame for their non belief. What, then, do we make of Hell? The existance of an invisible God is easy for those whom the Lord has revealed Himself to by way of His Holy Spirit and the revelation of His Son in us. But those who are born of this world cannot receive Him because they cannot see Him, therefore by reason of blindness they do not believe. But we who are born of God do see Him, and also know Him, and also confess that His Word is True.
John 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Alleged indeed. How does one prove such a thing? His life, death, and (alleged) resurrection. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
Amend: I should also add: "and his present life for us today."
He's saying that the 'fulfilled prophecy' argument is used by many Christians. They point to the various allegedly fulfilled prophecies in the OT and NT as proof of the Bible's divine authorship, of Jesus' divinity, etc. What?
