It just goes to show that no good work goes unrewarded.
LOL.

Did I mention I'm doing an internship with ICR on a project which proves that beneficial mutation rates are not sufficient to allow for the development of complex organs from sand?

A great example of how science works.

Experiments bring in new data that invalidates a model

The model is changed to explain this new evidence.

You talk as if this was a problem for science, but this is science
You are right, being revised or superseded by something else is what it is about for natural science.
As I suspected.

I can now point out it's after noon (here, anyway), and point out to dad the date on the calendar.

YEC? Me? ^_^
I couldn't say if you are a backslider, or a yec, all I can do is go by your words. It is April the first, and I can say I am a YEC.

I know you mean that as an april fool joke but it's actually a darn good question. Why have you blindly been following a literal translation of the bible? It's not a bad thing to ask questions.

I was wondering if you guys would just let me join in the kidding around and playing the opposite side of the coin.

Of course the way I used the term "blindly" here was in jest.

Anyway, this thread could easily offend some, so I'll not revisit.

Terribly wrong. How could I be so wrong?

It came like the light on the road to Damascus.

Either God is real, or He isn't.

If He is real, then He can do anything. Including giving us a completely true and accurate account of the beginning of the universe.

And that is what He has done. It's there in black and white in Genesis 1-3.

God created the world in six literal days. There can be no other valid and consistent interpretation. Whatever apparent discoveries we may make, nothing can trump the revelation of God in His Word, the Scriptures.

So I have to announce that I have been terribly wrong. Young Earth Creationism is the only rational position for a Christian to take.

I just wonder how many of the evidences I've considered to be junk before turn out to be real, for those with eyes of faith to see.

I may even have to change my screen name.

Cool!

I am so very happy for you! You have received REVELATION from God! Praise the LORD God Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth!

If you've read the rest of the thread, you've probably realized that he was pulling our legs. Or was your post a joke as well? It's sometimes hard to detect sarcasm over the internet.

It helps when the something else has actual facts to support it. We call it "learning."
Indeed, they spent decades learning the standard model, now they need to go back and learn something else! That is the problem you better get used to when all you learn in natural things. They will never explain it all, or right- and then there will be no more natural only! Your future is cut out for you.

The fact that he has to have an English teacher examine what he writes says a lot about his standard of education.
