I like Amanda- the girl who is legally blind. I think she is one of the prettiest girls there. I think already though that the show is being tailored for drama's sake- that whole "bar fight" business seemed staged. One more thing to be said....Deliver us from Eva!!

I watched last night. Is it my imagination or is Tyra even more beautiful? How is that even possible?!

I felt sorry for the girl who admitted to being "ghetto". I was really hoping that she would get more out of this show. I hate to think of someone trying so hard to change, and feeling that they will never get a break.

I'm sorry that they picked the plus size model that they did. I think they should have either picked the other one, or both. She really is disporportionate. And the other woman looked more like someone I could actually see modeling plus sizes.

Eva, behind every angry person, there is a really hurt person trying to cover. I never had more respect for Tyra than I did last night. She confronted her so boldly and it really got through to her. Just goes to show, reacting to people who are mean, just makes the root of the problem invisable. I took this as a lesson. And I'm going to try to remember it.

I was surprised to see the girl who said that she had modelled for Seventeen, the one with the punkish hair, be eliminated. I really thought they would take her. She reminds me of that other girl from last season a little bit. (in looks only)

Sorry that super skinny girl was eliminated too. She's so pretty. But yeah, I agree with Tyra, she sends a negative image. What an awful thing to live with. 10 more pounds and she would have been really perfect.

I can't remember anyone's names...so that's all I'm going to post for now. But Ashlynn, I'll post to this thread. I really love this show. I've watched every episode, every season.

Oh...adendum: Mr. Jay and Mrs. Jay? I like Mr. Jay...but Mrs. Jay...it's just too creepy, even for me to see a man who thinks he's a woman. And he's so mean. I don't like people who are mean. Not in that way. It's hard to be around people who can use put downs so easily.

He is just so unattractive. You think if he really wanted to live up to this "Diva" persona their propagating, he would at least do something about his hair.

What easy road? Having to do something with the possibilty of being humiliated in front of millions is NOT easy. Since you dont care for the show I suppose you dont watch it much...then how would you know?

And by the way, I just realized. Where is that Super Model (I can't remember her name) who was always one of the judges? Am I mistaken or are the Jay's the judges now?

I watched all the old episodes and the show was kind of an addiction, it was on at 2am and I'd watch it and get ready for church a few hours later. Then I found out it was on at like 8 or 9pm on Wednesday nights!
I haven't seen any of the new episodes yet. Just started university and I brought a TV, I donated it to our floor's lounge, there was no TV in it and we just got the cable hooked up this week! Yay!

I doubt they would cut that Janice woman- she's too good for ratings. I'd be happy though.

Well, I don't know. Seems to me if she was going to be one of the judges, she would have been in the premiere show.

I liked her. I saw her talk on a t.v.guide talk show and she was a little less agressive seeming. I think that's what makes her a little off putting in this show. She doesn't mince words. Maybe it was just last season when she was so supportive of the girl who had Lupus that made her seem more likeable. Just goes to show, everyone has a soft side.

Well, I hope they bring her back. Or at the very least mention why she's not part of the show.

She says in the interview- Im the kind of person who tells you if I have a problem with you, and at the same time they show her telling kelly:

"I was just talking to yaya (shifting blame)...."
"People dont like you because (excluding herself)....."

It was so much c-r-a-p, I couldnt believe it. That is how you tell someone you have a problem with them. c-r-a-p!!

Amen Sis! One Miss America's was Deaf, so, why not! Having Physical Challenge is very common in a lot of people. After all, No one is Perfect!

Well, I think Magdelena didn't really have her heart set on being a model. When she mentioned taking time off of nursing school...it sounded like regret. Now she can get back to that. Which I got the impression was where her heart was anyway. I feel bad that she said that Latino's weren't really represented in this industry. And she wasn't going to be able to make that any different. I'm also really surprised that she was so beautiful, But her pictures looked so unflattering. Weird how that is sometimes.

It's not just the plus size model that is mad at Kelly for not acting black enough. Which seems a pretty stupid thing to be mad at someone for IMO. Yeah, the plus size model. I still think they should have gone with the other plus size model. She was prettier. I got the impression from what J. Alexander said in the beginning that her boisterous personality was more important than the other girl being more proportionate and better looking. (I don't know why. Being loud and overtly egotistical isn't apparently important for the other girls. )

Yes you did. And when I saw Janice Dickerson, I thought about this thread and all of you. Did you catch what she said about being able to do the "one eyebrow" lift? Something about having too much Botox and not being able to do it anymore. I know it's strange. But I just love her. She just blurts out things. No pretense. Which coming from a professional model who's whole job is pretense...it's kind of ironic. Love her.

Nobody mentioned Anna and Eva. The thing with the bedroom? I was kind of hoping that Anna would be eliminated. Too much drama. Sort of like a stalker, the way she was going on and on about rooming with Eva. It was creepy.

I was sorry they voted off the other girl too. She was a bit of a throwback to the 80's...the way she wore her hair. But then so is Amanda. She does look like she should be singing on top of a piano...one of their comments. The flower in the hair? And what's with that hair style? It's beyond bad. But they'll fix that up next week. I love her attitude, and her eyes. But her look needs some tweaking.

Next week...hair makeovers.

I need to find a web site for this show. So I can remember their names. For instance, there was one of the girls who was just so gorgeous. The one who's photo's were in a very high percentage rate of usability. Can't remember her name for the life of me.

Old Soul, her name is Yaya, and I think she is just gorgeous. I thought that Anna and Eva thing was a little creepy too. When people take two seconds to know that you are co-dependent like that big trouble. That's already an unhealthy relationship. I too noticed how Tocara was in there talking about kelly, and then kinda passed it off on the others- Not cool at all!

I thought Amanda looked TERRIBLE with her bleached blond hair....she was MUCH prettier before. I thought Norelle looked adorable with her short hair and no braces...she's one of my favorites, but I don't think she'll win.
