I haven't seen the latest episode, but there was an article in the paper which said that the photoshoot had been on the theme of murdered women. I then looked up some pictures online, and it seems to be true. I find this really disturbing. The 'controversial' shoot last time with the anorexic and bulimic models was pretty bad, but to pose as dead women, just for fashion, makes me feel a bit ill. It was totally inappropiate, imo. What does everyone else think?

PS- please don't tell me who's been voted off this time without leaving spoiler space- I haven't seen it yet!

It wasn't so bad. You'll have to see it to understand. They each were made up to look like they died a certain way, and they had to model to it. It wasn't the most pleasant show, but it wasn't that bad either. And trust me, I have issues with death.

Yeah...I wasn't offdended by it...if you have ever watched CSI or any other show with a dead body in it then you have already seen actors/actresses/models re-enacting crime scenes posing as dead people for the camera.

Last nights show was so funny! I loved it. Some of those girls made really good guys! I loved how Natalie finally got into the swing of things. She needs to be an actress instead of a model. She'd do great.

What I didn't think was fair was when Sara won the challenge. Someone should have come forward to tell the judges that she had nothing to do with it. I mean come on, she didn't pick out her cloths, accessories or anything!

I was also sad to see Diana go. She was a really sweet girl.

I've finally seen the fifth episode (I'm so behind! But I have to find them on the internet, we don't get it over here ) and my opinion hasn't changed- I still thought the choice of subject was really wrong, especially given that Jael had lost her friend the previous week, and was getting pretty upset. I don't know- each to their own, I suppose, but I didn't personally enjoy watching it, and I didn't think was squeamish about death. I just found the principle of showing violence against women in the name of fashion wrong. Maybe if it had been used in a campaign against domestic violence, or something similar, I wouldn't have minded.
Anyway, Renee was nasty in a quite entertaining way. I thought she'd go home in this episode, but she seems to be staying around. I hope she lasts for a while, because I find her quite funny

I don't find myself really liking any of the girls this cycle. Last one I really liked a few girls from the beginning. This year they're all sorta blah to me.

And man do they smoke a lot!!!

I agree with what you are saying here... RENEE NEEDS TO GO!!! And I can't believe that Sara didn't step up and give the credit to the one(s) that deserved it! she never even said thank you or anything!! SARA NEEDS TO GO TOO!!!

I was very disappointed that Diana went home. However I was a bit frustrated with her when Jay asked her why she wanted to become ANTM and she answers "Just Cause..." Here was her chance to be a voice for plus sized women and all she can come with is "just cause..."?! *pulls hair out of head*

I really hope Whitney will "bring it" next week and the following weeks after, however I fear that since Diana is gone now she doesn't have someone to confide in and she might be "intimidated" by the other, thinner girls.

It seems that with the "plus sized" models (Toccara, Diane, and now Whitney and Diana) they start out so strong and determined and then they start fading away. It's almost like they're comparing themselves to the others and losing their confidence and giving up. Meanwhile they have no idea how beautiful and curvaceous they are.

So true...Renee really made me mad talking about "there never will be a plus sized model on the cover of Vogue"...that was so rude!!! I always thought plus-sized models were sized 12-14-16...I didn't know they were size 8!!! Do you really think Whitney is a size 8 like she said or was she feeling the pressure form Renee? The more I think about it, next to size a 0-2, plus size would be @ an 8.

I'm pretty sure "plus size" models are 12-14 and up. The most "requested" is size 14.

It took me forever just to get a favorite girl, but I finally found one, lol. I love Brittany, she's so pretty and she reminds me of like some kind of old-fashioned girl. She's really unique and pretty. My 2nd favorite would probably have to be Natasha, she's SO adorable. I just think she's beautiful even if she takes critism as a compliment.
Renee has to go, she's so hateful. Her attitude gets on my nerves. I think she's pretty, but her attitude overrides her prettyness.

I'm in a bit of a debate with myself over Whitney: On the one hand, I really like to see a plus sized woman finally win this thing (I'm plus sized myself) and I really think she could further break all the stereotypes associated with only super skinny being attractive and such..

However,

I really didn't like her comments regarding Natasha's marriage. Being in an age-gap relationship myself, I have dealt with people's assumptions on my relationship with my dbf, and they're all dead wrong. Whitney's assumptions that Natasha was a "mail order bride" and that the situation is "creepy" were really out of place. From the phone conversation between Natasha and her husband, it seems they have a loving relationship.

I gather Whitney is a Christian being that she mentioned thanking Jesus a few times in past episodes... now she should start acting like one.

They seem to pick on Natasha quite a bit, and it's not fair at all. Her English isn't perfect, but it's pretty good considering that she didn't speak any until after she was married, and that's only about 3 years. Her relationship with her husband did seem loving, based on the phone conversations we heard. Besides, Natasha did scarily well on that photoshoot!

yes and she has prayed for different ppl in the house. She really shouldn't be so judgemental though...but if my 19 yr. old daughter started dating a 40 yr old man I'd . It's really kinda hard to grasp when you are that young...I also think that if she wasn't a Christian she would have cussed Renee or told her all the way off when she started mouthing off to her about no plus- sized models on the cover of Vogue.
