  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I loved it! Of course, it was so cheesy I wanted a ham sandwich, but still.

I was hoping they would slightly tone down the camp for the new incarnation, but alas they didn't. Although the new galdiators' names (Wolf, Hellga, Siren, Toa, Justice, Mayhem, etc.) are slightly less ridiculous than the old ones (Nitro, Gemini, Zap, Ice).

The winner of the first season gets to come back in Season 2 as one of the Gladiators.

That makes what happened on Sunday night pretty interesting:

The competitor who won was a nerdy little Asian fellow. He even had a nerdy name, like Melvin or something. Anway, this guy was small and wiry and could outrun a rabbit. He won with speed, agility and guile, and not with pure physical strength.

If he wins the season, he gets to come back as a gladiator (and he'll be smaller than any of the women gladiators by a hundred pounds!).

Anyway, I've got his Gladiator name picked out for him:

Spider Monkey!

LOL! Spider monkey..THAT guy was annoying. I don't think he will win the whole thing. I LOVE this show. I watched both Sunday and last night. Yep, the hosts are cheesey, and I LOVE Hulk...(watch WWE with my son...I know....I know...) but he is too cheesy here. And the girl...well....LOL

Wolf is a bit annoying..Toa, is WEIRD! LOL...I LAUGH at Helga..from Sveden! LOL..TOOOO funny!

I love the new set. It's a lot better than the old version...but it seems a little more "put on" than I remember the old show to be. Maybe it's just Hulk Hogan. One could make a drinking game out of how many times he says "brother". Very scripted seeming, but still entertaining. It's one of the few shows I make a point to watch.
