So you aren't really creating a fellowship forum in Unorthodox Theology, you are really just moving the non-Nicene congregationals into the theology forum.

So much for fellowship.....................

People,
I see nothing but a bag of worms with the new promotion rule. So someone asks "Do you like being a Mormon?"

Answer "Yes, I do."

"Why then?"

"Because I beleive that the LDS faith brings me closer to God and Jesus Christ."

MOD HAT ON

PROMOTION IS NOT ALLOWED: SEE RULE BLAH BLAH BLAH....

MOD HAT OFF

This new rule is going to be abused and there will be unhappy campers on both sides. I am sorry to lend my pessimism to the new rules. But there are those waiting in the wings to attack and distort. Any apologetic defense will surely be viewed as promotion and thus the non Nicene member will be warned and villified.

These promotion rules are a slippery slope and noone will be happy.

does this not violate the rules?

The names or titles of God, including Jesus Christ and the Persons of the Trinity (Father, Son, or Holy Spirit), in any language, are not to be used as expletives or interjections or in an abusive, mocking, or insulting way.

It was not my intent to mock God. Does God look at the outward appearance or the heart, Steve? I think I know your answer, so I would say that my post and my conscience is clear.

FYI, the Hebrew term used for taking the Lord's name in vain means "to make light of."

Does this not make light of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit?

And what of the many that see this as mockery of the Trinity?

So, far, you make three. Compared to the many posts that have said how much they like it, that does not make it "many". I also think it says a great deal about the posters who are so easily offended by such a thing.

as to iEdit. Do as you wish. I will let the site rules and my conscience regulate my posts.

Cool! Then, why don't you let me worry about my posts and my conscience and you worry about your own. Deal?

I need all the help and reminders I can get to live as God commanded- hence I have also added the "iEDIT" slogan to my signature. Thanks, Lisa.

So if anyone finds any of my posts offensive, please let me know and I will earnestly consider doing an edit. Only if there is really a very good reason for not editing will I not make a change.

To add the iEdit slogan, you need to go to www.christianforums.com/customizer Then you hit the "Change Custom Title" on the second row on the left. You can then make additional changes- bold type, etc.

Me too.

And yes, that little ditty about Boss Baby Jesus mocks God.

Well, that is your opinion. I know what was in my heart when I posted it.

I personally think that those who profess Christ but act like Satan are far more of a mockery to the Lord our God than anything from LOLCat.

As I offered before, would you like me to edit it? The other poster who was offended preferred to report the post because it is surely better to attempt to get a sister in trouble than to simply request a sister to undo what one finds offensive. Probably because that may put responsibility on that person to do the same when asked.

I will gladly edit/delete the post for you brother. No strings attached but I do hope you will remember to do the same if you ever offend a brother or sister.

The iEdit in my Custom Title is something that I hope will become a common thing here at CF. I would like to see a Spirit of fellowship such that we all would edit/delete rather than offend another who professes Christ.

Please let me know which you would prefer. The post has been reported already but I offered to do this before it was reported. To me that shows the real heart of the reporter...
