Actually we'd be buying capatilism wouldn't we? I mean, offering a comparable product at a lower price...that fits the whole ideal right?Jet Black said:AMD chips are made in sweatshops by child labourers in places like North Korea. Buy AMD and you are buying COMMUNISM.
I like this guy. LOLGrommit said:HEAT: You are ignorant. Get up to date with the current facts.
XP+: People who base everything off clock speed are totally clueless and deserve to get ripped off by Intel. Enjoy parting with your money.
Oh, as for stability. Hey, when was the last time you heard of a major intel bug? Remember when AMD had one? Wait. what? You don't? Hmm...
Itanium is the first 64 bit chip. It's been out for a year at least. The Apple G5 is also out. It's 64 bit as well.YaeSu said:AMD just released the first 64bit chip. Athlon 64.
So you are saying that Intel systems are overpriced aren't you?[UCLA]lee0539 said:i would only recommend AMD if you are short on cash and need one of those under 500 dollar computers...
no.. i said intel is overpriced in the low end of the market.. in high end systems they end up being equal... but intel still has a benefit with hyperthreading and dual channel ram... they support much faster FSBApologist said:So you are saying that Intel systems are overpriced aren't you?![]()
I strongly disagree with your comments on AMD processors and know many others who will as well.
According to tests done by AMD the Intel processors ran faster with hyperthreading off![UCLA]lee0539 said:another big benefit is hyperthreading.. which allows you to multitask and increase performance on programs that are multithreaded... this is something i found myself loving cuz of the huge difference i see when opening multiple programs all at once...
OH NO!!!! Someone who quotes Tom's Hardware!! Run for the hill's. AAAAAAGH!!Apologist said:I find that rather strange unless hyperthreading is just a sales pitch at the moment. By the way, hyperthreading is more geared for games than general applications.

AMD was HELPING not being biased. If they wanted to be biased they would have left the hyperthreading on but they said it was slower. Also, that article was at more sites than just that inquirer site, I just posted it because it was a little longer. Do a search with Google and you will see.[UCLA]lee0539 said:i also wouldn't use the inquirer to make any statement.. especially something done by AMD (which will be even more biased)...
