I'd love to see a reunion show. They usually have the final three or four teams on The Early Show after the finale, and they used to have the eliminated team on the next day but I haven't seen them at all this season.

If you go to the Amazing Race website they have videos of the Elimination Station, where the eliminated teams go to wait for the race to end. This year the house is in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It is rather interesting watching them, it can give you a better feel for some of the teams.

I believe it was last race that one of the teams that was dating got engaged while in the Elimination Station.

Eek, the fur went flyng last night! I just can't stand the models. I find it ironic that Caite talks about how the lesbian couple were mean to her, but she's been mean to others. The only good thing is that the detectives would have been eliminated had it not been for the U-Turn. I just wish somebody else had gotten their first and U-Turned the models. At this point, I'm still rooting for the cowboys.

Awesome, thanks Maren!

Thanks. Those little episodes are fun!

You're welcome. It is interesting to see how the teams act after the pressure is off and they are together with others who have been eliminated. You also can get some idea about how they feel about the teams still running. For example, Caite (on the TV show) basically tried to make it that everyone hates the lesbians when she was talking to Phil, yet it appears from the elimination station that the lesbians aren't disliked by most of those teams. Though it is too bad that, starting with Steve and Allie that the eliminated teams are going straight to the finish city so we don't get a chance to see them after they have had a chance to relax and how they fit in.

I can't help but wonder if it is just dislike of lesbians in general. I mean that first episode, from what I saw, it was everyone that was laughing and commenting about her pageant flub. Yet it was only the lesbians that she got upset at and, since that time, any perceived slight against her (real or imagined) by the lesbians she has reacted as if they killed her first child. And yes, it is ironic that she has been just as "mean" to the lesbians as they have ever been to her, I don't remember her ever giving them a chance to be nice to her.

It was smart of Mike and Louie to make the pact with Brent and Caite since they knew Caite had that vendetta against the lesbians. I agree with the lesbians that it was downright stupid -- and I have to wonder if Mike and Louie really would have selected the lesbians to turn if they had gotten there first. For those two teams, since they are somewhat working together, the Cowboys (who have won several legs) would be the team to get rid of. I can't see, had they not been U-turned, either the lesbians or the brothers being a real threat to win the race.

Though Brandy looked bad with how she just couldn't let it go and the "stupid" comments she made about Brent and Caite. To me, it was funny watching Carol as she stood back and the faces she made when Brandy just wouldn't shut up. Though I suppose some of that is understandable with all the comments coming just after being eliminated, it seems like Joe was much the same right after he was U-turned and eliminated.

I have to say the Cowboys are my favorite team left and I really want to see them win. They are so calm under pressure and have a great working relationship.

'Amazing Race' Team Unveils New 'Catch Me' Reality Show - Inside TV

Jerry Bruckheimer and Bert van Munster, producers of the Emmy-winning 'Amazing Race,' have just struck a deal for a new series with ABC that's being teased as a "heart-stopping reality competition."

The new reality series is tentatively called 'Catch Me,' according to The Wrap, and promises to contain several of the action elements that made 'Amazing Race' a hit. Producers are reportedly looking to cast teams of two in the project, with contestants who "have an adventurous streak and a poker face." They'll begin recruiting their poker-faced players in Chicago.

ABC chief Steve McPherson developed 'Race' when he ran Touchstone Television, and he has reportedly wanted to develop a new reality series with Bruckheimer and van Munster ever since.

At this point, it's not clear if 'Catch Me' has been greenlit for more than just a pilot.

Bruckheimer's list of TV credentials is an impressive one, including the 'CSI' franchise and the new 'Miami Medical.' Bruckheimer is currently working on new dramas 'Chase' for NBC and 'The Whole Truth' for ABC. Van Munster also developed 'Oprah's Big Give' and 'Profiles From the Front Line.'

Looks like this one is gonna be interesting!!! I'll be watching!!

I'm looking forward to tonight's final. I'm hoping Jet and Cord win it, with Brent and Caite the team I absolutely don't want to see win. The brothers have annoyed me much of the year (and continue to) but I am impressed by how they seem to care about each other and how their relationship has grown, so I could be happy for them if they win.

This was a good finale because while I had my druthers, I could root for each team and not be disappointed if one I didn't like won. Jet and Cord rocked the Race and proved hicks can be world travelers. They also kept their class the entire way. Caite and Brent are dumb as rocks despite Caite's protestations, but if they won it would be like stubbing a lit cigarrette into Brandy and Carol's eyes. Dan and Jordan were annoying periodically, but participating in the Race was Jordan's dream and I'm sure winning it would make his life.

And the winner was... check back with me in 12-18 hours.

I would have been ok with the brother's win had it not been for last nights episode. Their less than ethical behavior really angered me. I wanted the cowboys to win for sure, but they just couldn't overcome the brother's headstart due to their jumping the airport que. What a shame. Those cowboys proved that they were a class act all the way. But I'm sooo glad the models didn't win. I just couldn't stand them. However, the one lesbian's reaction to Caite, was uncalled for. She should have let bygones be bygones.

I was okay with the ending - any finale where Caite threatened, twice, to punch her partner in the face, called a taxi driver a dumb ass, and THEN forgot all her stuff at the last challenge, is a good one for me. ;)

I would have preferred the cowboys, but I was fine with the brothers. They were a good team, and they were not Brent and Caite. :p

Actually, the brother's didn't gain anything from cutting in front of the cowboys. I'll agree it was stupid and not ethical but it didn't benefit them at all. What did help them is getting the stewardess to let them sit in First Class so that they were able to get off the plane much faster.

Note: They did not cheat by sitting in First Class, the rule only states that you must pay the economy fair and cannot pay to be upgraded. Previous years we have seen contestants who paid the economy price but were upgraded to a higher class (like Business class) because there was no more room in Economy seating.

The other "advantage" was the smart move by the one brother to have recorded all the information about the legs specifically because he knew that would be a challenge.

OTOH, the Cowboys could have handled it better. Threatening to punch the brothers and then, during the LucasArts challenge, trying to give confusing directions was somewhat classless, as well. Not to mention, the Cowboys had a chance but blew it at LucasArts when he didn't twirl to see the message -- even though they had watched while the brothers did it.

Regardless, as I stated last night, the Cowboys were my favorite team and overall showed a great deal of class.

I've heard the lesbians are no longer dating, you could see that Carol was rather embarrassed by Brandy. Brandy showed a lot of immaturity in not being able to get past it. I do think, in fairness, it should be pointed out that for Brandy it has been only a few days since the elimination and not the weeks that it has been since we saw them eliminated. Not to mention, if you have watched the Elimination Station episodes Joe even a couple of weeks later was still holding a grudge against the cops for the U-turn.

Personally, I'm most upset at Amazing Race and Phil for baiting that controversy when it should have remained a celebration for the winners. And I've heard several complaints about how the challenges last night were too easy, especially that the determining factors last night were order off the plane and then a bad taxi driver. I'm not sure I completely accept that, I can understand how something can seem hard while your setting it up but having those doing the tasks complete them easily.
