Amazing Race 16

There is an article on Yahoo! announcing the teams for the next Amazing Race which will start televising on Feb. 14. Also interesting is that they mention that teams were required to get to the LA airport from the starting line only using public transportation -- no rental cars or taxis -- on their way to Chile. I'm hoping for a great race and one that is more interesting than (with more interesting teams) than the last race.

Also, I noticed on the Amazing Race website that they are now accepting applications for the Amazing Race 17.

I have to admit, after the first episode it does look like it will be an interesting season. I'm curious to see how the different teams relate to each other. It will be interesting to see how the Big Brother couple does, if they do better because they have successfully competed in a reality show previously.

I also wonder if we will have more complaints here about the race being "unfair", since Phil indicated in some of his early comments that it would be the most physical and most demanding race they have had.

I like all the teams except for the lesbians. Usually I prefer to have a couple of teams too root against.

She's cute and sweet and unassuming even if she is an idiot. I don't have any problem with them being on the Race.

Ok, I'm totally loving the Cowboys. They are so cute! I hope the stay humble, focused and nice. Looks like the lesbian couple is headed for a blow-up. Which I expected given how they are so negative about many of the other players. The blondish one seems very snobish, IMO.

I liked the grandma/granddaughter pair, too. They were so sweet.

I also laughed at the detectives. Maybe their pride got in the way.

Which brothers are you talking about? I'm not that familiar with all the teams yet.

The cowboys are definately fun to watch.

I loved the comment that he was going to be in trouble when he got home because it took him two tries to rope the bull.

I agree! They are funny, goofy, naive and down-home types. I like the father/daughter pair but they don't get featured much.

I was thinking the same myself, but I wonder how well they're going to do in, say Africa or Asia or when they have to eat some weird fish.
