Gods Grace - The single defining belief of christianity? (C.S.Lewis et al)

Wow - Grace is just totally amazing- everything bought for us by Christ is based on this gift of Grace. Nothing I can do will make God love me any more nor will nothing I do make Him love me any less. many of Jesus' parables whilst never using the word try and teach us about this divine and unique gift that inspires both Love and forgiveness.

What I realised today was that in many of the parables I saw myself as the decent chap - but in fact i am always the other - the prodigal son, the lazy harvest worker, the ungrateful servant... And If I have recieved this great gift how can I withold it from others - to walk in Gods grace by forgiving those who don't deserve it and loving my enemies. I pray for the strength to do fulfil this calling everyday.

Whats so amazing about Grace by Phillip Yancey is a very good read on the topic.

Yours in Christ

Oh yes, His grace truly is amazing. I love this verse:

"For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor that ye through his poverty might be rich."
2 Corinthians 8:9

We had nothing to offer him. We could not do anything to please him. But he loved us while we were yet sinners and made us "heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ" (Romans 8:17)

Oh that my heart would praise Him more for His wonderful grace!

Hello, all. Indeed, many times I've heard of a Christian who stumbles and desires to return, and my heart goes out to this person. Then the HS gently reminds me, if I feel this way, how infinitely much more does my heavenly Father feel that way toward me, whan I feel I've blown it too much!

The goodness of God leads me to repentence.
