  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me!
But does that bless-ed grace extend
Beyond what I can see?
‘Cause all I see is curs-ed sin
And confusion in my fear.
I want to follow You, my Lord,
But will You hold me near?
Within your grasp will I remain,
When I stumble and I fall?
What will happen to my soul,
When I turn to face the squall?

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved!
But in your grace I took advantage,
And that curs-ed sin, it seethed.
So will You love me as Your own,
And allow me to remain?
And will Your wrath in all my sin
From this soul abstain?
Can it be that You love me still,
When I have hurt You so?
And can it be that in Your sight,
You'll never let me go?

When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise,
Than when we've first begun!
And though my sin keeps me from You
Here in life so hard,
I know that You will love me still,
And gather up my shards.
Keep not Your face from me, O Lord,
And Your grace to me impart.
Love me with Your grace so real,
And stay within my heart.
