  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Amazing dream with Jesus

I have had amazing spirtual revlevations shown to me over the past several years, also a lot of testing and spiritual warfare, it was brought on by intense seeking and searching for Truth, for God and his kingdom and needing to know the facts of Jesus walking this earth and dying on the cross. It was brought on by the death of my brother 4 years ago and my best friend 6 months after, if you want to read a little about that story you can refer to this link christianforums.com/t7741330/

the dream I had when Jesus came to me was a good 2 1/2- 3 years ago while I was going through the most difficult time of my life, fighting Satan not on a day to day basis... but a second to second basis. I remember it like it was yesterday and it was extremely vivid.

I use to have a recurring dream (nightmare) for the longest time... where I was running down my street and being chased by a truck with either 1 or several people inside.. in which I would get into my house, look out my front window and see the attackers on their way in to my house.. followed them getting in, a lot of fighting and usually by me getting stabbed repeadedly or someone in my family, was extremely disturbing.

In my dream were jesus came to me the setup was similar... except this time it was Jesus walking down my street. The way he walked down the street to his looks was simply incredible. Firslty he was BUFF, very very strong looking, big muscles (not out of proportion, but like a perfect proportion body of strength and looks) he had a white robe on, his hair was long and white.. his eyes were very bright and looked like fire/flames. His presence alone was so powerful and purposeful... I was running from him in this dream, I was scared... I ran and was going in like slow motion it felt like, finally got into my house and running into my basement.. he followed right behind, at the bottom of the steps i was on the ground and Jesus had a sword in his hands... he thrusted me with the sword... I woke up instantly.

What are your interpretations of this? I thought I would share it with you all. I beleive God was coming to tell me that I now was entrusted with the Spirit.. and given wisdom to fight the battle along his side.

You saw the glorified Jesus portrayed in Revelation, so I think we should look to see what we can find in Revelation to correspond with this.

Rev 2:12 "And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: 'The words of him who has the sharp two-edged sword.

Rev 2:13 "'I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

Rev 2:14 But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality.

Rev 2:15 So also you have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans.

Rev 2:16 Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth.

Rev 2:17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it.'

I suggest you study this passage carefully. There are some good and bad things said here about this church. Notably, though, the Lord says that those who have not repented He will war against them with the sword of His mouth. You were running away from God and He struck you with His sword, so I would say this applies to you. He is/was telling you to repent. There is also an awesome promise in verse 17 for those who do repent and overcome.

You have a great spiritual calling, but you are being oppressed.

The Lord wants to empower you, but something is hindering you.

Would you cry if the Lord wanted you to cry? I think you will find you have a great emotional strength, if you will allow yourself to move through it.

I beleive God was coming to tell me that I now was entrusted with the Spirit.. and given wisdom to fight the battle along his side.

I see the Jesus dream as a turning point for you. The original dreams were about vulnerability and torment. Maybe you were under attack by satan or his representatives among people, or very possibly it was fear of death or torments of conscience that were after you.

Jesus came very differently than did the attackers, despite the broad similarities in the dreams. He walked, not rode. For Him it is personal, not mechanical. He embodied supreme authority, power and holiness. You didn't fight Him in the front room, you ran to the basement, which is your inner self, your foundational issues. And that's where He caught up to you. While the others stabbed you repeatedly, He pierced you only once.

Jesus only needs to pierce our heart once, and the transformation is accomplished. By the implantation of the Holy Spirit, we are born again to new life and will never be the same. Once this is done, we are under His authority and protected by His power.

What's happening here is that you perceived Jesus with the same fear you had for the attackers. But the more you learn of Him, the more you will understand that He comes to give life, not to condemn. You have nothing to fear from Him. You will come to understand that everything He does is for your good, and not to harm you.

We often come to Christ first in fear. But as we abide in His word we learn the truth more accurately and are set free. As we experience His perfect love, it casts out the fear. He loves much, who is forgiven much. Keep abiding in His love.

Thank you for your resposne and your views. This dream came at a time were I was in an intense spiritual awakining. If you have the time, read my other post were I linked above (just add the http www part ) you can see a bit about how this came about.

"GottservantYou have a great spiritual calling, but you are being oppressed.

This is accurate about oppression... I have been attacked by Satan for my entire life, but never so strongly then the past 3 years durring a great spiritual awakaning and journey. Satan tried feverously to get me to kill myself, when I have never had thoughts of suicide before in my life like this.. he brought on what felt like an endless wave of demons and pain and lies my way. I was in the hardest trials of my life here by far from anything I have ever experianced. To be honest I could not go through it again... I have slowly come out of that battle (although it still exhists just in a more suttle not in my face degree) my strength is re-newed to continue to fight always when things seem too difficult. Is a tough up and down, :/
