Im thinking, sometimes you dont know how much you can trust a paid review in a magazine or website.

I have an idea:

Do you think a website that lets "the people" submit reviews" would be a good idea?

All reviews would be vetted and only the highest standerd would be accepted, but the idea is that the reviews would be from the paying, playing public, and writen after playing FULL version and not "press release demos".

Just an idea.

The only problem I could see this leading too, is the reviewers not giving fair and accurate reviews to games. A lot of the reviews I've read from "gamers," etc that are negative tend to flow along the same lines: "it won't run on my computer," "it's a wannabe GTA," "it's not like X game," etc. Heck, I actually read a review on EB's web site for Lords of the Realm III that accused it of being a cheap rip-off from Stronghold. One uneducated reviewer stated the soon-to-be released title, Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse was a rip-off from a X-files episode. (it states that it's based on the book of Revelations in the first line of the description, so even if you're not Christian, you should have an idea of what this game is going to be about)

Whether you choose to play either of those titles is irrelevant. The point being, is that we could get some uneducated fool that manages to have a poorly written review that makes to the site. This could turn people away from game and produce unfair results. I also get the idea that this may be more of a site by Christians for Christians. Certainly nothing wrong with it, but if you're goal is a fair review, there could be some biasness towards the game. Most of us aren't going to be too hip on playing a game like GTA or Postal because of the violence, language, etc. We're apt to give the game a bad review because of it. All this said, would it not become like the magazines that we're annoyed of?

:::Note - this is a good idea, I just wanted to address some of the points that first came to mind:::

Well, i think its a good idea IF you have rules about rating games, and if you make it, and it looks profesional, i would be interested in writing game reviews for it, it would also go towards my language arts at school, so it would be a win win for me.
