I'm on my schools color guard (we spin flags behind the marching band). This is my second year and im a senior. This year our line has grown from ten girls to seventeen. It's awesome but it makes it very hard to get information to everyone. So the only person that is willing to take charge of that area is me. We've always had a private group FB and I started a group message on GroupMe. (Which some work bc I had to find something that worlds for Android, iPhone, computer, and regular phones.) So I'm also the one that took charge of making our group shirts this year bc last year we didn't get shirts until the end of the season which sucked bc we wanted to wear them on Fridays before games like the band does. That put me through hell bc some girls wouldn't and still haven't paid for their shirts which ended up coming out of my pocket. I also have to type up our routines after practice and post them on FB so they all have them again bc no one else will. We have a Halloween show that we do every other year and this year we are doing it so me and the other experienced senior came up with a theme for out costumes: crayons. But everybody said it was too expensive (it was $30), and some girls couldn't find there size, and another girl couldn't participate bc of her religion so we came up with a better theme to address these issues. The new theme is Phantom of the Opera which matches the marching bands music theme this year. It's better bc you can buy a $2.00 mask and your good to go and the girl that couldn't do it bc of religion can dress up for our shows theme. Well one girl keeps complaining about it. So now it's time to plan for homecoming and we were gonna go as a group and of course the only one willing to put the effort in to planning was me so i asked where they wanted to go to eat. Well basically we couldn't do: Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Bob Evans (apparently it makes one of the girls sick?) or a buffet. Bc at least one person didn't like each of those things. And this was found out by me only talking to 4 girls!! So they all decided they want to go somewhere I don't like even though I had just spent an hour trying to figure out a compromise so that we could all be happy, and the one girl that complained about the Halloween theme (who isn't even going to homecoming with us bc she has her own group) said I was "dictating everything this year" and they all turned on me. So now they are all going without me. Oh and the majority that "overruled me" was 3 girls. The rest of the seventeen haven't even responded yet but apparently I'm the one dictating everything...? Apparently bc of the Halloween show and this I'm am dictating the flag line this year. So now they are telling me that I have a "distorted version of the truth" and that I need to "get some perspective". I don't think my perception is distorted. At least I hope it's not.. What do you guys think? Any advice on what I should do?? :\
