I have been in known sin for all my life. I am afraid that I may have even stepped over the line and I fear it may be too late for me to repent from my sins.

I fear Esau tried to repent to God with tears and could not be forgiven, so he is in hell forever, and I fear I am in the same place Esau was in.

I am a slave to my sin, and I keep doing my sin, EVEN THOUGH JESUS TOLD ME NOT TO!!!

I want to genuinely repent of my sins, turn from my sin and glorify Jesus and the father and to be loved by them, but I am still in my sins, get distracted easily, not focusing on Jesus, and I fear I may be in a place with NO turning back.

Can you help me and pray for me? I hope I can still be saved and genuinely repent of my sin and SIN NO MORE.

Did you know that you are fulfilling 1 John 1:9? "If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." John also said, "If we say that we have no sin, we lie and the truth is not in us."

So, you have made probably the most important step toward God and Christ by fully acknowledging that you are a hopeless sinner, unable to stop in your own strength. Many who fall short of receiving Christ are not able to say what you just said.

You need to fall on Christ for mercy. The Scripture says, "Come boldly to the throne of grace that you may find mercy and grace to help in your time of need." Another Scripture says, "By grace you are saved through faith and not of yourself; it is the gift of God." Also, "All sin and iniquity shall be forgiven of men."

The next step for you is to believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and took your whole debt of sin on Himself and exchanged your sinfulness with His perfect righteousness.

Then you receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.

Then these are the things you can say about yourself, even before you do anything about your sins:

I am:
A child of God
A new creation in Christ
Jesus is my brother
Seated with Jesus at the right hand of God
Part of the family of God
Totally righteous in Christ
Not under any condemnation at all
Filled with the Holy Spirit
Blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places
Have all authority over the devil and his demons
Able to come boldly to the throne of grace to find mercy and grace to help in time of need
Jesus is my refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble
The law of the Spirit of life has set me free from the law of sin and death
Jesus has set me free from the body of death
My sins have been removed from you as far as the east is from the west.
God has buried my sins in the deepest sea of His forgetfulness and put up a sign, "No fishing!"

Also, make these statements before God:

The armour of God is for, to provide me with the weapons of my warfare.
I have the helmet of salvation as a born again Christian,
I have the breastplate of the righteousness of Christ which has been given to me as a free gift from God,
I have the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of the enemy,
I have the belt of truth - the foundation of God's Word,
My feet are shod with the gospel of peace.
I also have the sword of the Spirit, using the Word of God as a weapon against the doubts and fears the enemy would attack me in my mind,
I have the weapon of all-prayer, in which I can pour out my heart to God. The book of Psalms is a good guide about what to pray, and I am going to turn the psalms into my personal prayers.

Now, with the Holy Spirit within you, the process of sanctification and growth in holiness can start, and will continue for the rest of your life.

We all sin. And we all sin in different ways. There's a difference between struggling with the same sin trying to stop the sin and living in sin without repentance. It sounds to me like the first is true for you. You go to hell for rejecting Jesus. It seems to me like you've accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior. After all Jesus will not lose a single believer (John 6:37-40). I'll be praying for you.

Like Salvation, Repentance is the work of God. You sound like many many others except they don't want to admit it; but maybe this is for the purpose of learning that you cannot trust yourself --that you are nobody in and of yourself. This is not about you.

But go through the gospels carefully. Jesus was tempted in every way like we are, yet he managed to not sin. He did not manage it because he was God, but because he walked with God. He lived as a man, without sin, proving he is God.

If you are one of those who God has chosen for his own, he will not let go of you. Again, this is not about you.

Thanks guys for your support. I fear that it may be too late for me, but I now have some sort of comfort from all of this for now.

I want to know if I am truly saved and I truly am a child of God, and not like Esau, who wants God's forgiveness and could not find it.

I hope I can find Jesus and his forgiveness for real and really get to know him. I fear I may have never TRULY known him, because I do not hear his voice. Can you help me in how to get right with Jesus?

I want to glorify God, and I now realize I am only here because of the grace of God. I am not worth the toilet, spiritually speaking.

I hope by receiving forgiveness through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross, I can receive God's forgiveness. I can only take a seat in God's paradise.

I hope it is not too late for me.

No its not too late for you. Its very clear to me that you have the holy spirit living in you friend. It's going to take a while but you are already "right" with Jesus. Those of us who are saved are always saved and nobody can take that salvation away. Nobody. But it takes a while for God to change your heart to believe these things. It took me a while for salvation to make sense but always remember that God chose you for salvation and God who cannot lie will save you and everyone else who accepts Jesus. Period. Its a done sealed deal. Hope that helped.

While a person lives there is always a chance of repentance, for the cross of Christ was a life given for a life time of sins. However you still need to be sober about getting sin out of your life. For sin has a blinding effect the more we sin the less aware of truth we become. If we sin too much we may believe a lie and walk away from the truth.

We need to die to self so we can live for God. The old sin nature has to die so we can be born again and a new Creation in Christ. Through the Blood of Jesus we are cleaned.

Up until now, you have been living by the flesh, yielding to sinful desires. Now you have an opportunity to overcome your sinful ways by trusting in Christ to deliver you. God has integrity; He does not renege on His promises. He promised to purify us from all sin - 1 Jn. 1:9. You have to trust Him for it. It is a lifelong journey. "If the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed."

Whatever God has begun, he will not fail to complete --it is the work of God to begin it and to complete it. We are not capable of judging what he is doing in us.

"A bruised reed he will not break, a smouldering wick he will not snuff out."
"He that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out."

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

Esau wept bitter tears to his father Isaac because of his lost inheritance and lost blessing...ref.: Genesis 27:33-38.

You see Jacob not only got Esau's inheritance and blessing...Jacob got Esau
to make and oath... so what transacted between the brothers was fixed
and couldn't be undone....that's why Isaac is powerless to change things, you
see Jacob had an established covenant/oath agreement and God be a party in such oaths/covenants... oath: Genesis 25:33-34.

The older would serve the younger but none of them had to use trickery for this
to come about.
Read on as to what Isaac say to his son Esau...Genesis 27:38-40.

The Lord warns about making such oaths/vows etc... Matthew 5:33-37.
