Am I being oppressed by demons?

I mess around with tarot cards, demonic rituals and oujia board (even though nothing happened). I got curious and just want to see what happen and now I feel I can’t get out of it. Everytime I want to quit I can’t. People would tell me that the spirits are good, they are trying to help me to evolve into a better version of myself. Sometimes I find excuses to justify the practice. Now I’m scared what if it is the devil trying to keep me away from God. I wonder why it is so difficult to quit. Deep down I regret for messing with the occult. How can I quit tarot?

Sorry that you got caught in the lie, that you can mess with tarot and other practices and not have any consequences. Fortunately, you can repent and confess your sins and God will forgive you I John 1:9. After receiving forgiveness, if you still are experiencing problems, I would suggest you find a minister that understands deliverance. They should be able to help you get completely free. Also, gaining revelation and understanding in the bible, could help you as well as confessions or prayers for self-deliverance. Regardless of what spirits you may have invoked, God is willing and able to deliver you from any oppression.

You are just playing with the energies of the universe... and your own energies... the occult means "secret", forbidden knowledge, the bible itself is occult because it has many layers of understanding.. Most of the people don't go beyond the first layer, the literal understanding... After Noah's flood, God gave humanity the rainbow, right? The rainbow is made of the 7 colors that form the light, there are 7 chakras, God gave humanity the chakras.. Every color of the rainbow is a chakra color..

These are dangerous things because you are stepping into a unknown world.. where dark things really do exist, some are part of us ( our traumas and so on ) and some are from the outer world... My advice, just stick with meditation, this is what I do.

God promises that His Spirit will do that. Anything else could be idolatry. If God promises His Spirit, why would you need any other?

I have repented and stopped for a few months but I will be tempted to do tarot readings again. The cycle continues. I know we should resist the temptation to sin. I don't know how to explain this but whenever I want to quit tarot, my mind would counter it with justification to why I should keep doing readings or doubt the existence of God. I also know things that I shouldn't have known like where my dad keep his keys. He never told anyone but I just know the exact spot.

I want to quit because I think this is too much. Getting involved in the occult cause me to do things that I would never have done in normal circumstances.

I don't know. Maybe because I want to experience something supernatural and that's the reason I do tarot in the first place. With God and the Holy Spirit, I never felt their presence or experience something supernatural.

These items are the hook that Satan uses, like a worm on a fishhook looks harmless to a fish, enabling the fishermen to catch and real him in Satan is trying to reel you in.
God strictly forbids these practices not to be a killjoy but because he knows the only spirts that you will contact you are disobedient ones, those we call demons.
Remember Satan can look like an angel of light 2 Corinthians 11:14 and to the unaware demons will appear to be good and helpful. Temptation always feels good in the moment, which is why it's tempting, which is why it is so difficult to quit. in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. 2 Corinthians 2:11
This is a battle. You need to toss-preferably burn all of it. repent of it and pray about it.

If there is a minister or a church family who could pray over you I would do that. If you go past this place often, change the way you travel. If there are people who call you up and invite you tell them God convicted you to stop. Don't make it about you or them, just about God. if there is a friend or a minister or a prayer warrior that you know ask them if you can call them if you feel tempted.
Make sure to put on your armour.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

These things are particularly dangerous to anyone who is looking for a spiritual experience because demons will give you one. God is the still quiet voice that we have to be paying close attention to notice. If you experience an angel you probably won't even know it.

Glad you have repented. Hopefully, you will quit forever. My first time with tarot cards, my reading had the death card came up for the future. When the reader said it could be me or someone close, I immediately knew who it was for. For several weeks, I had multiple signs that death would occur. I can go into more details, of the signs and the use of white magic incantations but hopefully it is sufficient to say that the death occurred and I not only felt quite guilty but also fearful of such evil. This provided me with an explanation of what was going on. Finally, the devil was exposed and I could see that involvement. I would not even read a Chinese fortune cookie, astrology or anything that would be outside of God. Save yourself from heartache and keep turning to God. Burn the cards and other demonic props. Likely you are gifted and the devil is simply using you. Alternatively, God, the maker of all your gifts has a far better plan for your life. I will also say this too, the demonic stuff is small compared to what God can do. When I first heard someone speaking in tongues and interpreting, I certainly was aware of the difference. That you can't get to the supernatural with God is only because you lack understanding. The devil is like a carnival, lots of show but very little substance. God on the other hand, has the ultimate best plan, is very patient but can use men and women of God to change cities, towns and even countries. Five years ago or so, I remember a women that prophesied that she saw empty shelves of supermarkets. It came to pass in America yesterday. God's word and operations of the gifts are so awesome but he is careful in dispensing them, caring about the deliverer and the outcomes for everyone. Satan could care less, he will abuse you at the first chance. His kingdom backbites one another, lies to each other, and demons work against each other. Satan's is the divided kingdom that Jesus said would fail. Why not torch the cards and get on the winning team with eternally good consequences?

You are right there are two tarot readers that told me I have the gift. After reading your story, I think I will quit tarot for good and get right with God. I have downloaded the pdf book of the "Demons the Answer book" and I'm going to read it now. Thanks for the advice! God bless you too!

It is my first spiritual experience and I find it fascinating that the same card can come up over and over again. I shuffle it properly and draw the cards randomly (not consecutively which might explain why the same cards keep appearing). You are right I do love the power yet fear it because I can't trust the source of this power. It could be pretending to be good to deceive me.

God is gentle with his power but he will make it count with only good side effects. Even if you were not getting too burned reading tarot, the people you read to are getting negative stuff and curses brought into their lives. I know it can seem innocent ..until, the part you can't control shows up.

The first question you might want to ask yourself here is: who are these people who are telling you that the spirits are 'good'? Why are you trusting ... them?

Since we are told to follow after the truth in scripture I would advise you to love Jesus by choosing to do as the scripture explains below by destroying the magical items of the devil and demons which you have in your possession.
